Little Red Barn Dog Rescue We are a small rescue located in the heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin! We are a federally recognized 501c3 EIN 84-4695525.

We strive to improve the lives of dogs in need until we locate their forever families. We assist with local surrenders, unclaimed strays, as well as transfer dogs out of shelters. We are county and state inspected through Barron County and the WDATCP; Dog Facility Operator Licsense #490092. As a nonprofit we operate primarily off of donations collected from supporters to provide our residents with

the very best in medical, enrichment, and care. Donations are used towards transportation fees, medical fees, and daily care needs. We serve our community by caring for local surrender dogs, as well as unclaimed stray dogs in need of a place to lay their head until their furever families comes! We assist many Southern rescues, shelters and animal controls by transferring their over-crowed dogs to our care. We began operations late January of 2020, and we are hoping to build our rescue to last! We are constantly evolving to provide our residents with every thing they may need to strive, learn, be happy and healthy.

Meet REED, your new best friend!

This is what his foster mom has to say about him:

This handsome 10-week-old Lab mix puppy is the perfect combination of playful, smart, and sweet. He loves going for walks and is doing great with his leash training. He's curious about the world around him and is always ready for his next adventure, whether that's exploring outside, playing with toys, or snuggling with his people.

For such a young puppy, he's already making impressive progress. He sleeps quietly in his kennel at night and keeps it clean. Potty training is going well when he's kept on a schedule, and he's learning more every day. He's still figuring out how to let his people know when he needs to go outside, but he's a very smart puppy and a quick learner.

He loves going for walks and is doing well with leash training. He enjoys exploring every sight, sound, and smell. He gets along nicely with other dogs and is child friendly.

If you’re looking for a new best friend who is eager to please and gives plenty of puppy kisses, this guy may be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations for distemper/parvo, bordetella, rabies, microchip and certified vet inspection!

Meet ROD, a sweet 10-week-old Lab mix puppy!

This is what his foster mom has to say about him:

This handsome little guy has a gentle and thoughtful personality. He can be a bit cautious when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, preferring to take a moment to observe before jumping in. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet nature shines through. He enjoys exploring outside, playing with toys, and being close to his people.

He's a smart puppy who is already making great progress with training. He sleeps quietly in his kennel at night and keeps it clean. Hello! My name is ELIZA!! I’m a 10-week old Shih Tzu/Bischon mix and I'm ready for my close up...AND my new family!!!

My foster mom has this to say about me:

I'm already use to sleeping a kennel at night. As soon as I'm taken out to potty in the morning, I don't monkey around - I do my business right away! She describes me as very calm, but I sure do love plenty of attention and cuddles!

✅Cats? No problem!
✅Dogs? No problem!
✅Children? LOVE! 🥰

With all small puppies/dogs, a home with children who understand how to properly handle them is a must!

A fenced in yard isn't required but small dogs are extremely vulnerable to predators and should never be left outdoors unsupervised.

Adopters need to be prepared for regular grooming expenses.

All puppies require routines and consistency. Housetraining is a work in progress and puppies tend to need extra time to do their business. Adopters must be dedicated, patient and be ready to provide endless love and positive reinforcement. It is always recommended to enroll your puppy in a beginner's training class. It's like kindergarten for human kids and helps set them up for success!

Adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations for distemper/parvo, and bordetella, and flea/tick prevention, dewormer, microchip, and a certified vet inspection!

"Hello!! My name is MONA, and I’m a 10-week old Shih Tzu. They tell me I'm a breeder surrender, but if you ask me I'm the pick of the litter!

My foster mom says I'm outgoing and like attention. I tend to ignore cats but I do like other dogs/puppies and would enjoy a playmate if you already had a canine companion(s). I absolutely love human children, but I'm a petite gal so they just need to be gentle with me.
