After much thought and consideration, I have decided to step down as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Barron County. This was not an easy decision, but it is the right one for me at this time in my life.
My role at the Club has been so much more than a job. Those who know me know that when I commit to something my heart is in it 110%. During my time here, I have come to truly love this mission and all that it stands for. I have watched so many children walk through our doors unsure of what to exgpect and build confidence, made friends and gain tools for success. I've laughed with staff, celebrated victories big and small, and felt great pride in being part of something that makes a real difference in our community.
And now more than ever our community needs the Boys & Girls Club. Our youth need a safe place to belong, caring adults who show up for them, and people who believe in their potential. I leave knowing the Club is in great hands, with a dedicated staff and board who are committed to serving our kids every day.
I will miss the staff, members, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners who have made my time here so meaningful. Thank you for your trust, support, and friendship over the years.
Don't worry though—I'm not going far! I am excited to begin a new chapter as Community Program Director with True Wellness, a new nonprofit dedicated to helping communities across Northwest Wisconsin embrace healthy lifestyles and live longer, healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives. I look forward to continuing to serve this community in a new way.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of something so special in our community and to help make a difference in so many lives! 💙💙💙
