We are so excited! The front of our museum is getting a fresh coat of paint this morning thanks to our RepMo Rotary Day of Service! Lowes Republic also donated the paint! Will have some before and after pictures this afternoon. fingers crossed that rain holds off for today.

Outstanding program tonight at the museum. Micheal Price Historian with the Springfield Greene County Library presented an informative look at how Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield came to be. A full house and cookies!

The Republic Historical Society's board of directors is choosing paint colors and getting ready for the RepMo Rotary Day of Service to help beautify the front doors of our museum building, and we are extremely grateful.

On Monday, May 11, the Republic Historical Society was proud to present its first scholarship to a Republic High School senior dedicated to preserving the stories, places, and voices that shape our shared heritage. Through this award, we celebrate students who combine academic achievement with a spirit of service—young people who are ready to carry history forward and help future generations understand where they come from.
Pictured is Brenda Gardner presenting the award to Sami Carter. A student volunteer at the Republic History Museum, Sami has become a valued member of our archival team. We were delighted to recognize her dedication and hard work, and we wish her every success in her future education and career.
