Community Kitchen exists to feed the hungry in the community in a safe, respectful, and caring way! You may serve on a rotational basis or as a one time event.

The Community Kitchen seeks volunteers to serve the hungry of Republic, Missouri and the surrounding areas. Service groups or individuals are invited to volunteer their time to cook, serve and clean. 🚨 WE NEED PB&J VOLUNTEERS! 🚨

Our kids are counting on us this summer, and we need volunteers to help distribute free sack lunches throughout Republic during our 2026 PB&J Summer Program.

📅 Program Dates: June 22 – August 21, 2026
🥪 Distribution Days: Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
⏰ Volunteer Time: 10:45 AM – Noon

Whether you can help once, once a week, or all summer long, we'd love to have you on the team.

❤️ Spend just over an hour helping local children and families.
❤️ Make a direct impact in our community.
❤️ Help ensure no child goes hungry when school is out.

🥪 PB&J SUMMER PROGRAM 2026 IS HERE! 💛

We are officially kicking off our GiveButter campaign to help fund this summer’s PB&J Sack Lunch Program — and we need your help NOW!

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this summer (Starting June 26th), Community Kitchen of Republic will be distributing FREE sack lunches to local families throughout Republic. Last year alone, thousands of meals were served because of volunteers, donors, and community support just like YOU.

Saturday Breakfast Service Cancelled – May 23rd 🇺🇸

Community Kitchen will not be serving breakfast on Saturday, May 23rd in observance of Memorial Day weekend.

We hope everyone has a safe weekend as we take time to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. ❤️🤍💙

We appreciate all of our volunteers, supporters, and patrons and look forward to serving again at our next scheduled distribution.

❄️ Important Update – Saturday Meal Service Canceled ❄️

Due to the extreme cold weather forecasted for this weekend, we will be canceling our Saturday meal service on January 31st to keep both our volunteers and the families we serve safe.

🙏 Please forgive us for this cancellation—we never take these decisions lightly, but safety must come first during dangerously cold conditions.

👉 In the meantime, we’re partnering with the Republic Senior Center to help fill the gap. We’ll be providing them with extra supplies, so please feel free to stop by the Senior Center and grab a few extras if you’re in need this weekend.

❄️ Tuesday Distribution CLOSED – January 27th ❄️

Due to the snow and road conditions, Community Kitchen will be CLOSED for our Tuesday, January 27th distribution.

As a general rule of thumb, if schools are closed, we will not be open for distribution. This helps us keep both our volunteers and our patrons safe.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this weather together. Please stay safe and warm, and help us share this update so others are aware. 💙
