No Kings Demonstration starts Saturday (tomorrow) at 1pm in Centennial Park. There will be speakers & music. Bring mutual aid donations for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. At 2pm, folks will start marching to Freedom Hub (the old Joanne's building at SW 6th & Highland), then the demonstration will take place at 2:30pm there! Bring signs, drums, costumes, etc.

Call your friends & make a plan to attend the No Kings 3 demonstration on Saturday, March 28th, hosted by Indivisible Redmond! Starts at 1pm in Centennial Park with speakers & music, then we will march over to Freedom Hub on SW 6th & Highland Ave at 2pm and will demonstrate at Freedom Hub from 2:30-3:30pm. Donations for our houseless community are being collected and will be distributed at the Redmond Street Kitchen. Drop off the donations to the marked truck that will be parked on SW 9th Street.

Ellipse Theatre Community (ETC) in cooperation with Silent Echo Theater Company (SETC) are presenting the world premiere of a brand new musical, Voiceless: A Musical.

VOICELESS: A MUSICAL is a new theatre piece created by Deena Kamm, a voice/music coach, performer, and composer, and Anne Fenn, a comedy writer/screenwriter and professor. The story is based on Fenn’s real-life experience with muscle tension dysphonia (a functional neurological disorder), which caused her to lose her speaking voice for a year with no obvious physical explanation. The matinee show on Sunday, July 27th will be ASL supported and is sensitive friendly specifically designed for our neurodivergent and Deaf communities. This special performance will feature softer lighting, reduced sound levels, and a welcoming environment for those who benefit from sensory-sensitive experiences. Every Sunday the Redmond Street Kitchen shares hot meals, sack lunches & mutual aid items directly with our unhoused neighbors out on BLM in East Redmond.

Nona Strega says to nourish our community together. Scarcity is a myth & we should redistribute the supplies & resources.

Tomorrow, Weds @ 10am, the Commissioners have sweeping East Redmond houseless camps in response to code violations. Reach out to the Deschutes County Commissioners & tell them to hold the East of Redmond code enforcement violations in abeyance until there is a safe place for neighbors to go. Request equal resources for Redmond in the form of houseless liasons, potable water, portapotties, trash service & fire extinguishers- all of which have been provided in Bend. When these basic needs are met, all of the issues that are being complained about are mitigated.

The biggest sweeps Deschutes County has had are about to be underway in Bend. Redmond will end up sheltering many of those community members that Bend is pushing out with no affordable housing or viable safe alternatives available or identified for the community to go to. Where are community members supposed to go?

Remember that 3 bad months in a row can easily leave you & your family homeless.

Commissioner Chang is in favor of the abeyance. Now we need Adair &/or DeBone to vote for abeyance as well.
