From show manager/secretary Christine Harris:
Now that we are home The Spotted Spring Spectacular Horse Show and sort of unpacked, I have a number of folks I need to thank for once again helping to make this show a success!! Leroy Devenny, Kitana Kilborn, Noell Devenny, Emma Shierk this show wouldn't happen without all those meetings, messages, orders, the physical labor of transferring equipment and gear, setup and tear down. Not to mention the huge jobs of working the gate, ring steward, and office all weekend long!! Tana Baker for helping setup and tear down, running gate cards, setup on the taco bar, and bringing her son and grandson Stacey & Kevin Anderson who jumped in and helped all weekend long! Tana also made sure everyone was fed this weekend and many other tasks!! Rosiland Koops-Frazier and Steve Frazier for helping with many tasks, letting us borrow once again your ranch trail gate, and coordination and setup of the very popular Stable hand challenge! Kayla Cheyene & Marybeth Kasparek for also helping with the taco bar and the stable hand challenge and asking all weekend what could be done to help.
Lorene Clark & Don Clark, thank you so much for coming all the way to Eugene and filling many roles needed this weekend!! Debora Kay Ethredge-Sappenfield & Janet Bedell thank you for being there all day Saturday and lending a hand where needed! Gina Ricketts thank you for driving over and helping on Sunday and with packing! Chantel Delaney for being our trail course steward and other tasks asked of you. Sam Devenny for helping with the many tasks asked of him from Wed through Sunday! Angie Shelby who was with us in spirit and was also our saddle sponsor and a corporate sponsor. Big thanks to our Oregon Appaloosa Breeders Assoc board & members, and also Oregon Trail Appaloosa Horse Club board and members. Also special thanks to our judges Paula Gatewood Emily Cline Spray and Kelly Cole for sticking it out through some long days. You guys were all awesome to work with. We also need to send a shout-out to Kelli Kelley for all the behind the scenes work on our awards and help facilitating some of them! Also our announcer Kaileigh Core for all her help and knowing what needs to be done!
Most of all, a HUGE SHOUT OUT to our amazing exhibitors and sponsors, without you this show continuing to grow and be a success would not be possible!! We ended up with almost 150 horses! Thank you all for being amazing!! The work starts all over again this month to begin the work on our 2027 show. Fingers crossed I haven't forgotten anyone!

The entry packet is on our website, just download it, fill it out, take photos of it and email it to me!! This is an amazing and fun show!! Loads and loads of classes, a free taco & margarita bar, tons of fabulous hight points. FABULOUS awards like buckles, buckle cups, award headstalls, an all around saddle, and SO MUCH MORE!!! Are you needing some points for World Ranch Horse Assoc? Our Spotted Spring Spectacular Horse Show May 29-31 at Oregon Horse Center in Eugene has ranch classes over the 3 days of showing that are pointed! Come and join in all the fun! Loads of great high point awards, fun exhibitor events, and so much more!

Are you joining us in Eugene this Saturday for our April Reins all breed open horse show?? We are accepting emailed entries through Thurs still at the pre-entry rate! This show is OFEA approved and it counts as double points for our OApBA Year End Award participants! Fabulous high point prizes! Come and join the fun!

Our April Reins all breed open horse show is coming up quickly! It is time to start getting those entries and stall reservations in! This show is April 25th at Oregon Horse Center's Prairie Complex. You can move in on Friday after Noon. Christine will be on site to get you into your stalls. A pdf of the show premium is on our website. We have included the link below. Also, our Open English Equitation and Open Western Equitation classes will have a pattern. We have had a lot of requests for this and due to time constraints we will only do the patterns in those 2 open classes.

We are so thankful to all of our members who came and joined us for our annual year end awards and meeting today. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. We are looking forward to seeing all your success in 2026!! Congratulations to our 2025 winners!!

The wait for the Spotted Spring Spectacular Horse Show packet is finally over!! We apologize for the delay in getting this to you! Please note the changes in the schedule, and that this year trail will be judged by a single judge in the Logan arena on Saturday and run concurrent to the other classes!
Also, so that we are up front about this, OFEA notified us that they would not approve the show this year. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. 🙁 Sadly, Yamhill County Fairgrounds steeply raised their prices this year. This forced a lot of organizations to look elsewhere for locations to put on shows. When OFEA moved to Oregon State Fairgrounds their own schooling show landed on the Saturday of our show. They are concerned it will pull numbers from their show. We understand, but are disappointed.
We still hope to see all of you at our show!! We are so excited to have you all back again! We have so many beautiful high points and fun planned!! It's gonna be a blast!!

The Spotted Spring Spectacular Horse Show just got even better!! We have some super exciting news!!!
Thanks to a generous sponsorship by Angie Shelby & Russ Shelby and their business Central Pipe Mechanix we now have a Circle Y Trainer saddle for our All Breed All Around Champion!! We are so excited to be able to offer a quality awards saddle! Make sure and tell Angie THANK YOU when you see her out and about and at our May show!!

Just some of our amazing awards for the 2026 Spotted Spring Spectacular Horse Show!! Watch for our premium to come out this week!
Also, we will now have trail running all day Saturday in the Logan arena with a separate judge to help save time over the course of the weekend! We are also adding a fun game for our amazing stable hands to play on Saturday night! Winners of the youth and adult divisions will each win a buckle, with trophies to 2nd and 3rd places!! This game will be in conjunction with our exhibitor and sponsor appreciation dinner, which will be a taco bar! A margarita and bloody mary bar is also being sponsored during this dinner! We can't wait to have a fabulous weekend with all our amazing supporters and participants!
