We are at Redlands Earth Day Event at beautiful Smiley Park today doing our part to help wasted surplus healthy foods from being thrown away in landfills, we saved 4.7 million pounds last year and donated to non-profit feeding agencies from pantries to soup kitchens, outreach programs and recovery homes and shelters, all together it worked out to be 3,916,667 meals served from the foods donated.
Not to mention less waste in the landfills and less water used, less
carbon dioxide in the air.

We’d love to invite you to volunteer with us this Sunday, March 15. Recent windy weather has knocked a lot of avocados off the trees, and we’re organizing a small volunteer effort to gather the fallen fruit so it doesn’t go to waste.

We’ll be visiting a local property to collect avocados that have fallen from the trees. Most of the fruit gathered will be donated to local food pantries, helping get fresh food to people in our community. Volunteers are also welcome to take a few avocados home for themselves!

What to know:

🥑 Help collect fallen avocados from the orchard
🛍 Plastic bags will be provided for collecting fruit
🤝 Most of the harvest will go to local food pantries
⚠️ IMPORTANT: No bathrooms are available on-site, so please plan ahead
📝 All volunteers must complete this volunteer form before the event to register.

Fighting Hunger in Our Communities 🍎

We’re proud to support Inland Harvest with a $10,000 donation to help their ongoing food‑rescue and distribution efforts across the Inland Empire. This donation helps ensure that fresh produce, meals, and essential groceries reach the hands of families and individuals facing food insecurity.

💚 Thank you to our Stater Bros. Markets customers! When you donate at the checkstands, you make it possible for us to partner with organizations like Inland Harvest, bringing nourishment, hope, and stability to our neighbors.
