Ok, problems don’t all just disappear at MARKED..

But the weight of carrying them alone does.

What was once shame becomes support. What was once isolation becomes belonging. What was once hopelessness becomes possibility.

Through football and community, we’re helping adolescents discover they have a team behind them—on and off the field. ⚽

Bueno, los problemas no desaparecen por completo en MARKED..

Pero sí desaparece el peso de tener que cargarlos solos.

Lo que antes era vergüenza se convierte en apoyo. Lo que antes era aislamiento se convierte en pertenencia. Lo que antes parecía no tener salida comienza a llenarse de esperanza.

A través del fútbol y la comunidad, estamos ayudando a adolescentes a descubrir que tienen un equipo detrás de ellos, dentro y fuera de la cancha. ⚽

Everything we do is about creating spaces where people don’t just attend something, but become part of something. A place to play, eat, laugh, grow, be known, and find the support they need along the way.

Ese es el corazón de MARKED.

Todo lo que hacemos busca crear espacios donde las personas no solo asistan a algo, sino que puedan ser parte de algo. Un lugar para jugar, comer, convivir, crecer, ser vistos y encontrar el apoyo que necesitan en el camino.

A little glimpse into a day at MARKED ☀️⚽️

From time on the fields running drills and building confidence, to afternoons gathered around the table sharing meals, crafts, conversations, and lots of laughter; every day looks a little different, but the heart stays the same.

In the middle of spontaneous moments in the streets, supporting local families by buying fresh fruit, and creating safe spaces for young people to belong and grow, we’re reminded that real impact is built through consistency, presence, and community.

Lots of sun, lots of movement, lots of joy and so many small moments that matter. 🤍

Un pequeño vistazo a un día en MARKED ☀️⚽️

Desde el tiempo en las canchas haciendo ejercicios y creciendo en confianza, hasta las tardes alrededor de la mesa compartiendo comidas, manualidades, conversaciones y muchísimas risas, cada día se ve diferente, pero el corazón sigue siendo el mismo.

En medio de momentos espontáneos en las calles, apoyando a familias locales comprando fruta fresca, y creando espacios seguros donde los jóvenes puedan pertenecer y crecer, recordamos que el verdadero impacto se construye con constancia, presencia y comunidad.

Mucho sol, mucho movimiento, mucha alegría y muchísimos pequeños momentos que sí importan. 🤍

Seasonal fruit in our communities is seriously the best. 🥭✨ Mangoes, plums and so many others fill the streets this time of year. Every morning, many kids head out early to pick fruit before spending the day selling it in the streets to help support their families.

Today, we got to support some families by buying fruit to share with all the kids in our programs. 💛

A simple win-win: supporting local effort and while creating moments of joy and community around something as simple as fresh fruit.

Las frutas de temporada en nuestras comunidades son una delicia. 🥭✨ Mangos, ciruelas, guamúchil y tantas más llenan las calles y los canastos de los niños que desde muy temprano salen a cosechar para después vender y ayudar en casa.

Hoy pudimos apoyar comprando fruta a familias y de la comunidad para compartirla con todos los niños en nuestros programas. 💛

Pequeñas acciones que se convierten en algo de que todos disfrutamos: apoyar el esfuerzo local, valorar lo que produce nuestra tierra y compartir momentos de alegría comiendo juntos.

Si vives en la ZMG o en la ribera de Chapala y tienes ropa, calzado, juguetes o artículos para el hogar en buen estado, contáctanos para agendar la recolección de tus donaciones. 📞

Todo lo recibido se lleva a las comunidades que servimos alrededor del Lago de Chapala, donde las familias pueden adquirir los artículos por un precio simbólico. Así promovamos la dignidad, la libertad de elegir y el valor de contribuir con algo propio.

If you live in the Guadalajara or Poncitlán area and you have clothes, shoes, toys, or household items in good condition that you’d like to donate, contact us to schedule pick up! 📞

We take these items to the communities we serve around Lake Chapala, where families are able to select what they like and purchase it for a small symbolic price.

We believe that something as simple as having the freedom to choose and contribute a few pesos can foster dignity, ownership, and joy.

What does MARKED do?

We get asked that a lot, and the truth is, it’s not always easy to answer because every day looks a little different.

We’re here to create spaces where we can meet people where they are, learn about their needs, hopes, and dreams, and walk alongside them. We work with the community, strengthening what already exists and filling in the gaps where support is needed most.

Some days that looks like serving meals on the streets or in local schools. Other days it means afternoons full of play with kids, taking someone to a doctor’s appointment, opening the MARKED Store, hosting medical brigades and psychological support, offering opportunities for learning, or spending hours on the soccer field coaching and training children and teens.

It also means partnering with schools, parents, and government initiatives, celebrating holidays with families, praying with our neighbors, discipling others, laughing together, and always stopping for the one person who needs to know they are seen and loved.

Our programs matter, but the heart of MARKED has always been relationships.

We are committed to doing life with people for as long as it takes to help families break negative cycles and build new ones filled with hope, faith, and opportunity.

That’s what we do at MARKED.

Sometimes a sandwich and a bag of popcorn are just the beginning.

They give families a reason to come out, but more importantly, a reason to stay.

As we spend time together, we share conversation, laughter, our faith, and a culture of love, hope, and belonging. Little by little, relationships are formed, trust is built, and hearts begin to open. 🤍

Dan a las familias una razón para salir, pero más importante aún, una razón para quedarse.

Al compartir tiempo juntos, compartimos conversaciones, risas, nuestra fe y una cultura de amor, esperanza y pertenencia. Poco a poco, se forman relaciones, se fortalece la confianza y los corazones comienzan a abrirse. 🤍
