The final Gathering of Nations Powwow will take place April 24–25, 2026 at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque, marking the last year of the largest Native American powwow in North America after more than 40 years.

The two-day event will feature traditional dancing, drum competitions, live music, a horse and rider parade, the Indian Traders Market, and cultural performances bringing together hundreds of tribes from across the U.S. and Canada. Gates typically open around 10 a.m. with grand entry ceremonies scheduled both days.

Organizers are calling the 2026 event “The Last Dance,” as it will be the final Gathering of Nations celebration.
