Bubbles is learning new tricks, and we have one very special volunteer to thank!
A huge shoutout to our wonderful volunteer, Audrey, who has been going above and beyond to help Bubbles the pig learn to walk on a leash!
Audrey is so dedicated that she attended a positive reinforcement training class this morning, then headed straight to the ranch to put what she learned into practice with Bubbles!
Their ultimate goal? To get Bubbles comfortable walking up a ramp so that one day, he can hit the road and become one of our traveling animal ambassadors!
Of course, you can’t rush greatness (especially when greatness has four hooves, a snout, and a mind of his own). So today, Audrey and Bubbles worked on a little stepping stone toward that goal — literally! She encouraged him to put his front feet up on a boulder, and sent me this absolutely adorable picture of their progress!
It’s volunteers like Audrey who make Robin’s Nest Rescue such a special place. Her patience, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile to enrich the lives of our rescued animals mean the world to us.
Thank you, Audrey, for believing in Bubbles and helping him take these little steps toward some big adventures!
And Bubbles? We’re pretty sure he’s already dreaming of his first road trip!
