Very exciting news!
The Ramona Outdoor Community Center, Inc. (ROCC) is proud to announce a significant transformation in our organization's identity. To better reflect our primary focus and operations, our nonprofit organization has officially changed its name to the Ramona Rodeo Foundation, Inc. (RRF). This change has been registered with the California Secretary of State.
This decision comes in line with our updated direction and purpose. Our name change to the Ramona Rodeo Foundation, Inc. also eliminates any confusion between our nonprofit organization and the physical Ramona Outdoor Community Center grounds, which are now under the management and maintenance of the property owner, the Ramona Municipal Water District. This change emphasizes our charitable efforts and focus as the Ramona Rodeo Foundation, while honoring our rich history and tradition, underscoring our commitment to the community and the annual Ramona Rodeo.
At the Ramona Rodeo Foundation, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. The mission of the Ramona Rodeo Foundation is to host events that bring the community together, fostering a spirit of unity and support. The funds raised during these events are reinvested into the community through event sponsorships, donations to other charitable organizations, and scholarships.
Our recent funds recipients include local chapters of the Boy and Girl Scouts of America, NJROTC, Pop Warner, Hearts and Hooves, Ramona Town Hall, Guy B. Woodward Museum, Ramona Junior Fair, and the Ramona Fireworks. We have also partnered with the Ramona Municipal Water District to donate directly to the physical grounds at Wellfield Park to further enhance it for the benefit of our community.
