We are excited to announce Magaly Rivera as our new Business Solutions Director, overseeing our statewide Business Solutions Officer team as we serve North Carolina's entrepreneurs.

Magaly has been with Carolina Small Business Development Fund as a Business Solutions Officer since 2022 and has played a vital role in connecting small business owners in Eastern North Carolina to the small business capital, education, resources, and tools they need to succeed.

We look forward to continuing to light the way for North Carolina's small business ecosystem and are excited about the passion and innovation we know Magaly will bring to her new role!

Meet Mary McKinney, founder of Hello Yellow Art Studio, Raleigh's process-based art studio, where children are encouraged to explore, create, and build confidence through the joy of art. After years in the classroom, Mary turned her passion into a business that now inspires families across our community. With support from CSBDF, she was able to access the resources and capital needed to grow her business, expand into a larger space, and create new opportunities for others.

Mary's story is just one example of the impact that's possible when entrepreneurs have access to the right support.

Today, we hosted our 'Forward Together: The Annual Conference & Awards from CSBDF & WWBC' event at Blue Ridge Community College Ridge Community College in Henderson County!

We heard from insightful panels, our keynote speaker Dr. Patricia Mitchell, and awarded small businesses and fellow community organizations with well-earned awards for their service to our state's small business ecosystem.

We are excited to announce the esteemed Dr. Patricia Mitchell as our keynote speaker for our upcoming 'Forward Together: The Annual Conference & Awards from CSBDF & WWBC' event!

Dr. Mitchell has a long track record of notable public service and economic development work, having previously served as the Assistant Secretary for Rural Development at the NC Department of Commerce where she also served on the Department of Environmental Quality and the Appalachian Regional Commission.
