When a porch light turns blue, it’s more than just a color - it’s a message.

During National Police Week May 10-16, residents across our community are lighting their homes blue, and local businesses are illuminating their buildings in support of the men and women who serve and protect Raleigh every single day.

These small acts create a powerful wave of gratitude, unity, and respect for those who put their lives on the line for our city.

Want to join us in showing your support? Turn your porch light blue, rally your workplace, or help us spread the mission even further.

📩 Contact us via DM or through our website to get involved and stand with Raleigh’s finest.

Thursday night’s True Blue event was a powerful reminder of what community really looks like 💙

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support the Raleigh Police Department and the mission of the Raleigh Police Department Foundation. Your presence, energy, and generosity are what make events like this possible - and impactful.

Because of you, we’re able to continue supporting the officers who serve our city every single day. It was an honor to bring people together for such a meaningful cause, and we don’t take that support lightly.

Thank you for showing up, standing behind RPD, and being part of something bigger. 💫

On World Health Day we’re reminded that health is more than doctor visits - it’s physical strength, mental resilience, and having the support systems that keep people going when the job is tough.

The Raleigh Police Department Foundation is proud to help fund new wellness initiatives for RPD officers, supporting their health on and off duty.

Healthy officers help build a safer, stronger Raleigh for everyone.

Today marks one year since Chief Rico Boyce began serving as Raleigh’s 31st Chief of Police - a year defined by leadership, partnership, and continued commitment to community engagement.

Over the past year, Chief Boyce has emphasized the importance of building trust and strengthening connections across Raleigh, reinforcing the belief that public safety starts with relationships.

As Chief Boyce shared in a recent interview:
“If community engagement is up, crime is down. We have to go and meet people where they are.”

The Raleigh Police Department Foundation is proud to work alongside Chief Boyce and the men and women of RPD as we continue supporting initiatives that strengthen officers, build community trust, and help keep Raleigh safe.

Please join us in recognizing Chief Boyce’s first year of service and leadership. 💙
