Jennifer Powell and I represented Quitman VFW Auxiliary Post 7514 at Fort Roots Fishing Derby. We had a great time meeting some of the veterans there. But the fish just didn’t want to bit this year, even the baby turtles wouldn’t bite maybe nexy year.

Happy 112th birthday VFW Auxiliary-National Organization!

Today, September 14, 2026, is our 112th birthday! Since 1914, the VFW Auxiliary has been providing "Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes" through our volunteerism, fundraising, activism and acts of kindness.

Throughout the day we will be featuring memories, milestones and favorite moments from our current members, interspersed with a few meaningful quotes from our foremothers and past leaders. Thank you to all who participated by sending theirs in.

Click the hashtag to follow along as we share these and to add your own.

From VFW Auxiliary National Headquarters to our members, thank you for 112 wonderful years!
