🍽️ Something exciting is cooking at Dragonfly Café!

Our 5-week Culinary Training Program starts June 30 and is designed to give participants real, hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen. From food safety and prep work to line cooking and professional service, participants will leave with a culinary certificate and practical skills they can take straight into the workforce.

Only 10 spots are available, and tuition is offered on a sliding scale.

Plumas CASA is offering a series of 4 Daddy & Me cooking classes. These classes are geared toward children ages 5 and older and are designed to provide a fun and supportive space for dads and their children to spend quality time together while building healthy connections through cooking and shared experiences.

One huge step in the right direction!! 💪🏼🫶🏻

Yesterday, the California Assembly released its latest budget framework, specifically identifying support for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) as a Public Safety budget priority to help ensure California’s most vulnerable children have a trusted voice in the system. We are grateful for the Assembly’s support and proud to have stood alongside our budget champion Assemblymember Mia Bonta on CASA Appreciation Day, recognizing the transformative statewide impact CASA volunteers have in the lives of children and youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems.
