The Plumas Arts community is heartbroken by the passing of our beloved Town Hall Theatre Manager, Aeron Christensen.

For so many years, Aeron has been the familiar, smiling face that welcomed generations of moviegoers through our theater doors. His loyalty, dedication, and love for our theater and community were truly extraordinary.

Aeron was more than a valued member of our team. He was a cherished part of the Plumas Arts family and a constant happy presence in the heart of Quincy. His loss will be felt deeply throughout our community for years to come.

We are forever grateful for the years he gave us, the countless lives he touched, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind. Our deepest condolences go out to his wife, Brandi, and all his family and friends.

Rest peacefully, Aeron. You will be profoundly missed. ❤️

Get ready to raise a glass and turn up the volume at the 21st Annual Mountain Harvest Fest! 🍁

We’re bringing some incredible live music to the stage this year with The Gill Brothers and Stone Soup Revival! 🎤🎸 These two bands will be keeping the good times rolling all afternoon!

Throw on your favorite flannel or lederhosen, grab your friends and family, and join us for an afternoon filled with great music, craft b**r, delicious food, and autumn fun!

🍺 Craft B**r & W**e: Enjoy tastings from regional breweries and wineries, plus nonalcoholic options!

🎶 Live Music: Dance along to The Gill Brothers and Stone Soup Revival!

🎨 Kids Zone: Bring the little ones for face painting with the Quircus, Chalk Walk activities, and ice cream from the Sierra Scoop Cycle!

Friendly reminder to join us TONIGHT for Words & Music featuring Marlo Moor at Patti’s Thunder Cafe in Quincy!

Come unwind and enjoy a relaxing evening of soothing sounds as Marlo Moor shares her unique musical talents through the beautiful and calming vibrations of sound bowls. It’s the perfect opportunity to slow down, relax, and experience something a little different with our community!

And don’t forget about our Open Mic! Following Marlo Moor’s performance, we’ll be opening up the floor to anyone who would like to share their talents! Whether you enjoy reading poetry, singing, playing an instrument, or a little bit of everything, we encourage you to join in and share your creativity with the community. All experience levels are welcome!

Doors open at 6:45 PM, with music starting at 7 PM!

With just a $5 cover charge, we invite everyone to come out, support local arts, and enjoy a wonderful evening filled with music, creativity, and community.

Mountain Harvest Fest is for the whole family this year!

Bring the kids over to our Kids Zone for an afternoon full of creativity, treats, and fun. Quircus will be joining us with face painting, and young artists can get creative in our designated Chalk Walk area, with chalk available to purchase so they can add their own artwork to the fest.

And of course, no fall afternoon is complete without something sweet! The Sierra Scoop Cycle from The Toy Store in Quincy will be rolling in and serving up ice cream throughout the event.

We’re excited to make this year’s Mountain Harvest Fest a welcoming place for families to spend the afternoon together while enjoying live music, local food and drinks, art, and activities for all ages.

Join us Saturday, October 17 from 1–5 PM at the Plumas County Fairgrounds in Quincy.

Kids passes are available for a suggested donation of $5–$10.

It’s Words & Music Season!
It’s our favorite time of year, and Words & Music is back! Plumas Arts invites you to Patti's Thunder Cafe in Quincy on Thursday, October 8th, for a one-of-a-kind evening featuring Chakra Sound Bowls by Marlo Moor. Warm up on a crisp fall night with a cozy seasonal favorite from the cafe while shimmering, resonant tones wash over the room and a full spectrum of chakra sound bowls sings its colors into the night, followed by our beloved open mic where you can share your own song, poem or story. Doors open at 6:45 pm, the music begins at 7:00 pm, and entry is just $5, with food and drink for sale at the cafe. Come to listen, come to feel, come to be part of the magic. Words & Music: where every voice finds its place, and this time, every color does too!

Join us for Plumas Arts’ First Friday Art Walk featuring the photography of Fred Pierson! 🚶🏻‍♂️‍➡️

Stop by the Plumas Arts Gallery on tomorrow Friday, October 2nd from 5 to 7 PM to meet Fred and experience a collection of his beautiful photography celebrating landscapes, wildlife, and the natural beauty of our region and beyond.

Fred’s love of photography began while he was still in high school, where he worked professionally as a photographer for his local newspaper. Over the years, he continued capturing the places and moments that inspired him, developing a special passion for landscape and wildlife photography. Living in the High Sierra provides endless inspiration, while his photography has also taken him to many other beautiful places in search of the perfect image.

We will also have free food and refreshments available for the community to enjoy throughout the evening. First Friday is a wonderful opportunity to come together, support local artists, visit with friends and neighbors, and enjoy a relaxed evening of art in downtown Quincy.

We would love to see as many members of our community come out as possible and make a night of it! After visiting Plumas Arts, be sure to continue the First Friday Art Walk by stopping by other local art spaces including Main Street Art Gallery, Bear Creek Frames and Art Gallery, and the Quincy Hub.

Come explore what Quincy’s creative community has to offer and help us celebrate the artists and galleries that make our area so special.

Plumas Arts is excited to support a special community event happening this Saturday at Wild Pines : Shop • Learn • Inspire in Graeagle! ✨

Hosted by our dear friend, local artist, and arts champion Liz Swindell, Meet the Makers is a celebration of the talented artists and makers who contribute to our incredible local arts community.

There will also be a raffle benefiting our Artists in the Schools program! Come out, support local artists, and enjoy the day!

And a special shoutout to Alexandra Ziegler for creating the artwork for the event poster! ❤️

Gallery of the Woods is today! 🌲🎨

We’re aware that online ticket sales are currently down, but no worries: tickets will be sold at the door at Greenhorn Ranch.

The event opens at 12 PM, and guided artist hikes begin at 1 PM, departing every 15 minutes. Come explore art and performances along the trail, enjoy live music, and visit the silent auction. The event runs until 5 PM. A BBQ dinner and drinks are available separately.
