🚨 Boycott Queens Night Market 🚨
On Saturday, May 18th, an autonomous group staged an action in front of Queens Night Market LLC. Queens Night Market LLC - on two separate occasions - in October 2023 and April 2024 - censored Palestinian vendors that were bringing attention to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
They handed out flyers bringing attention to the genocide and occupation of Palestine. They also bought out a local Ecuadorian vendor’s cart and gave out free food to the community, to encourage people to support independent vendors over the highly regulated permit system that appropriates our diversity for profit while incentivizing quality of life policing and the criminalization of poverty.
We are done with corporations and politicians profiteering off of our diversity while not recognizing our humanity and struggle. We resist appropriation of our identities for profit. We envision a world, city, and borough where all oppressed people fight against capitalism, colonialism, and inequality. We are reclaiming our voices and our spaces.
Boycott and hold John Wang, the CEO of Queens Night Market, LLC, accountable for his deplorable, cowardly actions. This is also a call to action for other autonomous groups to take charge and create their actions against the Queens Night Market, LLC and for an end to the occupation of Palestine.
🇵🇸 Decolonize from Queens to Palestine 🇵🇸
