We’re proud to recognize Ray Benton as the recipient of the NJTL Founders’ Service Award, honored at the 2026 (USTA) United States Tennis Association Annual Meeting & Conference in Orlando! šŸ‘

With a career spanning more than five decades, Ray has played a pivotal role in growing the game of tennis and expanding opportunity for young people nationwide. As the first Executive Director of the NJTL network, he helped grow the initiative from four to 50 chapters, laying the foundation for a movement that continues to impact hundreds of thousands of young people each year.

From leading JTCC to developing pathways for more than 300 student-athletes and professional players, Ray’s impact extends far beyond the court. His lifelong commitment to access, leadership, and community has helped open doors for generations of young people.

This recognition reflects a legacy rooted in service and a vision that continues to shape the future of the sport and the lives it touches.
