Some summer traditions are made to last.

The USTA Eastern Long Island Region, in conjunction with Long Island Tennis Magazine and the Baldwin P.A.L. teamed up to bring free tennis fun to kids and adults alike as the popular Family Tennis Day In The Park Event was held at SPORTIME Hempstead Lake State Park.

History wasn't just celebrated on Sunday—it was in motion.

At the ATA/NJTL Eastern Cup, young athletes from six National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) chapters stepped onto the court to carry forward a powerful legacy. By teaming up with the American Tennis Association, Inc.—the oldest African American sports organization in the country—and the NJTL network co-founded by Arthur Ashe, we watched the past and future of tennis beautifully collide.

The day featured team games and African American tennis trivia.

Tennis is so much more than a sport. It's community, it's history, and it belongs to all of us.

Serving up something special in Schenectady! ✂️🎾 On Monday, we joined the City of Schenectady, N.Y. and 15-LOVE to officially cut the ribbon on the beautiful new courts at Central Park.

Thanks to a combined $3.5M investment ($500K from the USTA, $500K from USTA Eastern and $2.5M from the City of Schenectady), we completely reconstructed 17 courts and added an additional court. The result? 18 state-of-the-art, post-tension concrete hard courts built to last and ready for action.

We are so excited to see the community enjoy these beautiful courts and we can't wait to host Sectionals here this summer!
