ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, the hardworking
individuals and families in our community who earn above the poverty line but still
struggle to afford basics like housing, food, childcare, healthcare, and transportation.
Here in Pueblo County, nearly half of households are working hard yet remain income-constrained. These are the caregivers, educators, retail workers, service staff, and so many others who keep our community strong. They deserve stability, dignity, and opportunity.
Thanks to United Way Pueblo County’s Community Investment funding, our agency is able to support ALICE households by providing no-cost childcare (for youth ages 6-18) for all Pueblo County families at eight of our Clubhouses, even during full day summer programs.
This support helps ensure that families who are doing everything right still have access to the resources they need to move toward stability.
We’re proud to partner with United Way Pueblo County in creating real opportunities for ALICE families to thrive, and we invite local organizations, businesses, and neighbors to join us in raising awareness and offering support.
