Recently, the Center joined with the United Mine Workers of America, Center for Coalfield Justice Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, Washington-Greene Counties Central Council, Union Energy PA & In Solidarity to co-host a "Building Solidarity" event at our . This panel discussion forum brought together leaders from labor, , , and issues with local community members for an open communication on how these entities are all interconnected, especially in the face of orphaned and abandoned wells in our area. The impacts on our health and safety, as well as job opportunities and the local economy, make this subject of interest to all and we hope this panel will serve as a springboard to continued discussion and for others to become informed.

Day 1 of the FIRST Robotics Competition (Greater Pittsburgh Regional) kicked off with a whirlwind of activity, but that didn't break the concentration of Team as they worked on their robot! This competition was held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in and provided not jut an excellent experience for the teams, but a great way to learn about for the general public as they saw advancing firsthand!
