Thank you to all the fellow hikers who joined our hike leader Gary Battel on an amazing Connecticut Trails Day hike yesterday! Connecticut Trails Day is the largest celebration of its kind in the entire country, and Prospect is proud to be part of it. This weekend, our community joins more than 200 free hikes, walks, and outdoor events happening statewide. It’s the perfect chance to explore the trails right in our backyard by joining us this Saturday at Kathan Woods at 9:30. Families welcome!!.

Burn off some of those pre-Thanksgiving pounds

🥾 Fall Hiker’s Hike – The Season Finale! 🍁

Join the Sleeping Giant Park Association for our final guided hike of the fall season — a chance to take in the crisp autumn air, golden leaves, and the quiet beauty of the Giant before winter settles in.

📅 Date: Sunday, November 23
🕛 Time: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
📍 Meet: Map board at the main entrance by 11:00 AM
💵 Cost: Free — no registration required!

This moderate, three-hour hike will cover uneven terrain and may include some rock scrambling, so participants should be in good physical condition and come prepared with:
--Sturdy footwear with good traction
--Weather-appropriate clothing
--A day pack with snacks, water, and any essentials 🌤️

Whether you’re a regular hiker or just looking to squeeze in one more adventure before the year winds down, this is a great way to celebrate another season on the Giant. 🍂
