Our mission: We manage and preserve wetlands, watercourses, farmlands, woodlands, and other significant lands, protecting their scenic, natural, and historical value while providing educational and recreational benefits for all generations. Prospect Land Trust protects 143 acres of Prospect wetlands, woodlands, and historic open space — but what truly brings these places to life are the people who walk them, learn from them, and help care for them.

From group hikes that connect neighbors…
to magical owl prowls under the night sky…
to hands‑on trail clean‑up days…
to fascinating geology hikes that reveal the stories beneath our feet…
there’s always something happening on our protected lands.

And members and volunteers are the heart of it:
💚 Everything we do is powered entirely by volunteers. We receive no funding from the town, yet we continue to preserve Prospect’s natural beauty and heritage for all generations.

If you believe open space matters — if you enjoy our trails, our events, or simply knowing these lands are protected — we invite you to enjoy our resources and even consider becoming a member.
(Membership isn’t required to join hikes or events, but it is does help keep them possible). Follow us on Facebook or join our mailing list to stay on plugged in to what is happening.
