Did you know that GIL Foundation, Inc. provides more than just residential services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities?

For over 40 years we have been serving the I/DD community, and a large part of that is residential programming. But that is not all we do!

All of our residents participate in day programs during the week. Some of them go to programs in the community, while others have programs where they stay at the house. As part of the in-home day programs, residents engage in various activities including arts & crafts. Recently, a resident at our North Haven location painted the beautiful abstract painting pictured below and also made the paper plate turkey decoration for Thanksgiving (also pictured below).

Each day program is designed specifically for each resident, keeping in mind their interests and abilities to ensure enjoyable engagement in the programming. This is all a part of what we do at the GIL Foundation, Inc.

Do you or someone you know have a heart to serve others by providing care to individuals that would otherwise not receive the care they need? We invite you to apply to be a DSP for us! It isn't always the most glamorous job, but it is incredibly rewarding! The appreciation and gratitude of the residents is always evident in their beaming smile, gesture of appreciation, or for those that are verbal, in their words.

We have locations in Cheshire, North Haven, and Prospect for both full time and part time positions. We are Direct Support Professionals, both full time (32 hours) and part time, at our locations in Cheshire, Prospect, and North Haven.

Prospect: Two (2) full time second shift positions and one (1) overnight awake shift. Part time shifts available as well.

Cheshire: Part time shifts available.

North Haven: Two (2) full time first shift positions and one (1) overnight awake shift. Part time shifts available as well.
