The first day of the Forge Kauai Retreat 🤙 Back on the island where it all began in 2020, there was something special about bringing this brotherhood back to the place that started it all. Old friends reunited, new brothers were welcomed in, and the guys kicked things off with epic gift bags from our incredible product donors.

Then it was straight to the pool for drills with Dr. Dustin Dillberg, where the challenge was real, the camaraderie was electric, and the crew got some practice in before surf day. The night closed with worship and a powerful message to cap off an incredible first day!

A huge mahalo to Koloa Landing Resort for hosting us and helping make this retreat possible. Day 1 set the tone. The brotherhood was strong, and it was just getting started 🔥

A very special last 24 hrs with this group of beautiful gals! 🤍🌺 A beautiful bohemian dinner hosted by the Dillberg’s, to the next morning of worship and powerful word from Ashley Jones, a fitness session at Poipu Beach Athletic Club | Poipu, Kauai, then getting glammed up for an afternoon of making haku leis, and ending with a special golden hour luau, learning to hula dance and the girls ending with sharing their limb loss stories.

One of the most special parts of the evening was gathering together as the girls shared their limb loss stories. There is something so meaningful about being in a room full of girls who understand parts of your journey without having to explain. To hear someone else’s story and see pieces of your own, to feel understood in ways you may not have before, and to realize you aren’t walking this journey alone.

It’s beautiful to see how God uses community time and time again to remind us we are never alone, and allow for hope to abound 🤍✨

Party waves with Bethany Hamilton, brave hearts, and girls surprising themselves one wave at a time! 🌊🏄‍♀️

Surf Day was filled with laughter, new experiences, cheering each other on, and discovering what’s possible when we adapt, embrace the unknown, and find the courage to try. We are SO proud of these girls and the bravery, joy, and sisterhood they brought to the water!

A huge thank you to Hakman Surf School, Hawaiian Surfing Adventures, and our incredible volunteers for making this day so special. Surf Day is a powerful reminder that we can overcome more than we ever imagined! As Bethany often says, “I don’t need easy, I just need possible” 🌺

Aloha from Kauai! 🌺🤍 Our Beautifully Flawed Retreat kicked off Monday and what a special first day it was! We welcomed 15 incredible young women to the island, all with their own stories and journeys with limb loss, and many of whom are experiencing their very first retreat!

This retreat marks another exciting first for Beautifully Flawed as we gather at a beautiful resort for the very first time, made possible by the incredible generosity of Marriott Hotels' Koloa Landing Resort and their amazing staff. From breathtaking Kauai views to the warmest welcome, these girls were surrounded by so much beauty from the moment they arrived!

Each girl was welcomed with thoughtfully curated gift bags filled with goodies from our generous product donors! After a day of travel, Dr. Dustin Dillberg led us through relaxing breathwork, stretching, and gentle movement on the beautiful resort lawn before we gathered for dinner and our first evening session of worship and an introduction to this year’s retreat theme: “Hope Does Not Disappoint” (Romans 5:3–5).

Our hearts are so full as we continue these meaningful days together, witnessing God at work in each girl’s story. We’re already seeing beautiful moments of connection, renewed hope, and reminders that each girl is deeply loved and never alone. 🤍

What if the very thing you thought would break you became the place where God made you stronger?

The road through suffering is never easy. There are battles we never would have chosen, losses we never saw coming, and moments that leave us wondering what could possibly come next.

But God is not finished.

He meets us in the ashes. He walks with us through the fire. The loss is real. The pain is real. But so is His presence. So is His power to redeem what we’ve endured and bring new strength from it.

You are not forgotten. You are not finished. God is still forging something strong, something courageous, something full of hope.
