The little clinic that could 🚂

✨ Today we celebrated fixing our 2,000th pet since we opened our low-cost spay/neuter clinic in late January of this year ✨

The really exciting part is thinking about how many pets we’ve fixed and simultaneously thinking about how many litters have been prevented.

Fixing 2,012 pets, prevented an estimated 13,000 offspring 🤩 This is super important because our local shelters are overcrowded and perfectly good family pets are losing their lives because of it.

We are also excited to share that we have provided 3,620 vaccines and given 1,493 pets a microchip this year 💖🐾 We’re making our community healthier and making sure every pet who comes through our clinic has a microchip to be able to keep them out of the shelter and get them back home should they become lost.

Today was also a serendipitous intersection of our 🌟amazing team🌟 fixing our 2,000th pet on the same day Dr. Greenberg and Elsa Allen Kohlbus were at our clinic for a training day as part of our continued partnership with Be. Spay/Neuter Consulting and Maddie's Million Pet Challenge!

Elsa was key in helping get our clinic started so it was the perfect day to have her back to celebrate with us 🙌🏼

Thanks to our community’s support, we’re all working together to create a better future for pets and their people. And ’s we’ve been able to bring some of the top consultants in the U.S. in to help us help pets.

🩵 Neuter Openings This Week for Male Cats and Small Male Dogs 🩵

Wednesday, September 2nd:
🐶 4 male dogs (3-40 lbs) = $75

Friday, September 4th:
🐶 4 male dogs (3-40 lbs) = $75
🐱 4 male cats = $50

Sunday, September 6th:
🐶 4 male dogs (3-40 lbs) = $75
🐱 5 male cats = $50

*Price includes a free microchip!

💉 Vaccines are required. If your pet is not current, we can vaccinate them on surgery day. The rabies vaccine is $18 and the annual dog/cat vaccine is $20. 

⏰ Drop off surgery is between 8 and 9 AM.

Barks + Bliss Veterinary Wellness is kind of like a local wishing well 💖

The veterinary team and their clients seem to intuitively know when we are in need of donations 🐾

As always, we are so appreciative for the on-going collection of donated items for our Pets in Need program. And thanks to our most wonderful volunteer, Sue Woodling Nissley, who goes out of her way to pick up the donations and drop them off to us.

😅 67 Appointments in 7 Hours 😅

We want to thank our amazing team who powered through 67 appointments today! Extra special thanks to our veterinarian, Dr. Warren, who examined every single patient (and still wants to come back and work with us 😜).

As always, we loved getting to meet all of the pets and their humans. Thank you to everyone who braved the heat to get your fur babies taken care of. We appreciate that you trusted us with their care 🫶🏽🐾

A $5 cone (e-collar) can save you hundreds, maybe thousands, in vet bills ✔️

We s-t-r-o-n-g-l-y recommend every pet wear a cone after they are fixed with us. If your pet won’t tolerate the plastic cone, a “donut” style plush collar or surgery suit can help (check Amazon).

We know it’s a pain and pets don’t like them, but allowing your pet to lick their incision is an invitation for an infection that can become serious and very costly 💸 And we don’t want that for you or your pet.
