Owen Mercer, son of Jana and Dan, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Owensville Boys & Girls 4-H Club. Over the years, Owen has developed strong skills, responsibility, and hands-on experience through his involvement in 4-H.

A graduate of Gibson Southern High School, Owen plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in Civil Engineering, building a future rooted in hard work and practical knowledge.

Owen shares that one of the most important things he learned from 4-H is how to properly handle animals over the long term, a skill he developed through working with his various livestock. He especially enjoyed handling and caring for his animals, gaining confidence and experience each year.

His most memorable 4-H moment was going out to eat with his family after the Dairy Show—a simple but meaningful tradition that celebrated hard work and time spent together.

Owen’s 10-year 4-H journey reflects dedication, responsibility, and steady growth, preparing him well for the road ahead.

Ruthie Ice, daughter of TJ and Stacy Ice, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Mt. Olympus 4-H Club. Throughout her 4-H journey, Ruthie has grown into a dedicated and hardworking individual, building lasting friendships and valuable life skills along the way.

A graduate of Princeton Community High School, Ruthie plans to attend Purdue University to study Elementary Education, with a passion for shaping and inspiring young minds.

Ruthie shares that one of the most important things she learned from 4-H is always to push herself to do her best. This mindset has helped her become a hard worker who never gives up, both in and out of the 4-H program. She especially enjoyed showing her animals at the fair, where she formed strong friendships and created meaningful memories in the barns.

Her most memorable 4-H moment was attending Roundup at Purdue University with her friend Mallory, where they made unforgettable memories together.

Ruthie’s 10-year 4-H journey reflects perseverance, friendship, and dedication—qualities that will guide her as she begins this exciting new chapter.

C**ton Haas, son of Shawn and Becky Haas, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Country Boys & Girls 4-H Club. Throughout his 4-H journey, C**ton has developed valuable skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to seeing projects through from start to finish.

A graduate of Princeton Community High School, C**ton plans to attend Vincennes University as he continues his education and prepares for his future.

C**ton shares that the number one thing he learned from 4-H is the importance of following instructions and following through on commitments—skills that have helped him succeed in both his projects and everyday life. He especially enjoyed woodworking, with one of his favorite projects being building his own desk, where he was able to showcase his craftsmanship and attention to detail.

His most memorable 4-H moment was having his lamp project selected to go to the Indiana State Fair, a proud accomplishment that reflects his hard work and dedication.

Lane Frederick, son of Brad and Jana Frederick, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Mt. Olympus 4-H. Over the years, Lane has developed creativity, hands-on skills, and a strong appreciation for learning through his 4-H experiences.

A graduate of Pike Central High School, Lane plans to pursue a career as a real estate agent while also working in excavating, combining his interests in business and hands-on work.

Lane shares that the number one thing he learned from 4-H is creativity, which he demonstrated through his projects and exhibits. He especially enjoyed building a LEGO barn from scratch, showcasing both his imagination and attention to detail.

His most memorable 4-H moment was earning Reserve Champion for his corn stalk project, a proud accomplishment that reflects his dedication and effort.

Cooper France, son of Lindsey and Stephanie France, is a proud 10-year member of Gibson County 4-H and the Growing Clovers 4-H Club. Throughout his 4-H journey, Cooper has built strong values, meaningful skills, and lasting memories.

A graduate of Gibson Southern High School, Cooper plans to pursue a career in welding, taking with him the work ethic and life lessons he developed through 4-H.

Cooper shares that the number one thing he learned in 4-H is how to be respectful—an important value that has guided his interactions and experiences over the years.

One of his favorite activities, as well as his most memorable 4-H moment, was participating in the State Tractor Driving Competition. This experience stands out as a highlight of his 4-H career and reflects his dedication and hands-on skills.

Kenzie Ellis, daughter of Chad and Katie Ellis, is a proud 10-year member of the Hazleton 4-H Club. Through her decade in 4-H, Kenzie has grown into a confident leader, serving as club president for several years and strengthening her leadership skills along the way.

A graduate of Princeton Community High School, Kenzie plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana this fall, where she will major in Occupational Therapy with a focus on Pediatrics. Her passion for helping others shines through both her academic goals and her 4-H experience.

Kenzie especially enjoyed exhibiting gardening and foods projects each year, with highlights including showcasing her work at the State Fair and attending the fair annually. One of her most memorable 4-H experiences was attending 4-H Camp, where she had a great time with friends and even got to kayak with C**t Hadley.

Kenzie’s 4-H journey reflects dedication, growth, and a love for learning that will continue to guide her future success.
