Beginning July 1, 2026, Calvert Safe Housing Network will officially assume operations of the Safe Harbor domestic violence shelter in Calvert County.

This transition ensures that survivors of domestic and sexual violence will continue to have access to safe shelter, advocacy, and supportive services without interruption.

We are honored to continue and strengthen this work through a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach focused on safety, dignity, healing, and long-term housing stability.

In our first year alone, Calvert Safe supported 52 women and children through emergency housing assistance, providing nearly 1,500 safe nights free from abuse.

As we move forward, our commitment remains clear:

We are honored to continue the legacy of Safe Harbor and deepen support for survivors and families in Calvert County. Beginning in July 2026, Calvert Safe Housing Network will assume operations of the Safe Harbor domestic violence shelter through a partnership with Calvert County Government.

Thank you to our partners, supporters, volunteers, and community for believing in this mission. We are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us and remain committed to helping survivors find safe housing, healing, and hope.
