What a wonderful morning celebrating the ribbon-cutting and blessing of the new freezer storage at Catholic Charities in Monticello!

This incredible new space means they will never have to turn away a donation because of a lack of storage—and it will provide much-needed freezer capacity for the more than 40 food pantries and community partners they serve throughout Aroostook County.

What a blessing this is for our county and for the countless families who rely on these organizations for food and support. When we invest in infrastructure that helps good organizations do more, the entire community benefits.

Congratulations to Catholic Charities on this incredible addition, and thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!

It was such an honor to present this year’s United Way of Aroostook Community Partner of the Year Award to Adopt-a-Block of Aroostook!

This organization truly embodies what it means to be a community partner. Through simply loving people, meeting basic needs, and being there when people need support most, they continue to make an incredible difference in Houlton and surrounding communities.

Our board has consistently recognized the impact of their work, and they have become such a valued partner of United Way of Aroostook.

The MMG Charity Golf Tournament was nothing short of amazing — and this year, they absolutely broke records in their support of the United Way of Aroostook!

We are so incredibly grateful to the entire MMG team for their extraordinary generosity and commitment to our community. Thank you to the many sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this day such a tremendous success.

So much fun. So much generosity. So many people coming together to make a difference right here in Aroostook County.

The Spirit of Hope Award is the highest honor presented by United Way of Aroostook for corporate community involvement. It recognizes an individual or organization that truly embodies generosity, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

This year’s recipient is an organization that has shown that commitment in so many ways — Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital!

Year after year, A.R. Gould leads one of our largest workplace campaigns, but their commitment to our community goes far beyond a campaign.

Through A.R. Gould Cares, they have created an incredible culture of caring for their employees. In partnership with United Way of Aroostook, this fund provides quick assistance to employees who are facing unexpected times of need. It is a wonderful example of an organization understanding that caring for a community starts with caring for the people who make up that community.

Their generosity doesn’t stop there. A.R. Gould employees regularly partner with us on food drives, toy drives, our annual Christmas raffle, and countless other community initiatives. They are always willing to step up, lend a hand, and help when they are needed.
Their generosity and compassion have touched the lives of so many individuals and families across Aroostook County.

We are incredibly grateful for the partnership, the generosity, and the heart that Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital brings to our community.

Last night, we had the honor of gathering for our Annual Awards and celebrating the incredible people who give their time, talent, and heart to United Way of Aroostook.

One of the most special moments of the evening was presenting the President’s Award to Jennifer Deschene, recognizing her incredible two years of service as our Board President.

Jenn’s leadership, creativity, and energy have helped guide United Way through two remarkable years of change, growth, and increased impact.

Her trust, encouragement, and willingness to challenge us to think differently have given us the confidence to grow, try new things, and ultimately make a greater difference in our community.

Jenn has given United Way of Aroostook her time, leadership, friendship, and heart, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done to help move this organization forward.

Happy to partner on this beautiful train ride to raise funds and awareness for the Aroostook House of Comfort!

We are incredibly grateful to Maine Northern Railway for selecting the Aroostook Hospice Foundation as the charitable recipient of this year’s Fall Foliage Train Rides!

On Saturday, September 26, enjoy a beautiful ride through the St. John Valley, with all proceeds from ticket sales benefiting the Aroostook House of Comfort.

Maine Northern Railway is generously providing the train and crew, and we are equally grateful to the United Way of Aroostook and their volunteers for stepping up to help us bring this special event together.

🎟️ Tickets are $30 per passenger and go on sale September 10 at 9:00 AM. All passengers, including young children riding on a lap, will need a ticket. The ticket link will be shared that morning.
