🤎 WHAT IS WORSHIP? 🤎
When you hear the word worship, what comes to mind?
Maybe it’s your favorite worship song, hands lifted during Sunday service, or a room full of believers singing praises to the Lord.
But what if we told you that worship was never meant to be confined to a song, a Sunday morning, or a moment with our hands raised?
Worship is so much deeper than that. 🤍
Worship is our response to who God is. It is the recognition of His holiness, His sovereignty, His goodness, and His worthiness. It is choosing to honor Him not only with the words we sing, but with the lives we live.
📖 Romans 12:1 (ESV) reminds us:
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
You see, worship isn't simply something we DO. It's a life surrendered to the One who is worthy of it ALL.
Worship looks like praising God when circumstances don't make sense.
It looks like obedience when His instructions require sacrifice.
It looks like surrendering our plans when His will looks different from our expectations.
It looks like choosing faithfulness when nobody is watching.
And sometimes, worship looks like falling to your knees with absolutely nothing left to say, trusting that the Lord hears you even in your silence.
But here's something we cannot miss: Worship isn't centered around how we feel. It's centered around who HE is.
God does not become any less worthy when life becomes difficult. His holiness does not change with our circumstances, and His faithfulness is not dependent upon our understanding.
In John 4:23–24, Jesus teaches us that the Father seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and truth.
That means genuine worship is not merely an outward expression. It flows from a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit and is grounded in the truth of God's Word.
And ladies, that is exactly why we're having this conversation.🤎
