Here is a recap of last week’s events πŸ“…

Boys Lacrosse πŸ₯:
Defeated La Crosse Area Co-op 16-10 in the opening round of Regional play πŸ™Œ. They advanced to play at Edgewood on Friday, and unfortunately their season came to an end with a 19-5 loss. The boys wrapped up their season with an 8-9 overall record.

Softball πŸ₯Ž:
Traveled to Monroe on Tuesday in the 2nd round of postseason play and came up short, falling 7-1 to conclude their season. The girls finished the year 8-19 overall.

Girls Lacrosse πŸ₯:
Opened postseason play at Sun Prairie on Tuesday and dropped a close one, 2-1, to close out their season. The girls finished with a 1-13 overall record.

Baseball ⚾:
Closed out the regular season with a 9-7 win over Tomah on Tuesday πŸŽ‰, finishing 20-5 overall πŸ’ͺ. The boys will open postseason play at home on Tuesday vs. McFarland. First pitch is set for 5 PM at Chuck Hall Memorial Field 🏟️.

Golf β›³:
Competed in Regionals on Tuesday in Sparta and unfortunately did not have anyone advance to Sectionals. They were led by Graysen Dunn, who shot an 83 and missed a playoff by just 1 stroke.

Girls Soccer ⚽:
Closed out the regular season with a 6-0 road victory at Dodgeville πŸŽ‰. They finished with a 9-2-5 overall record. They will open postseason play at home on Tuesday vs. Sparta. Match begins at 7 PM at Sauk Prairie Eagles Stadium πŸ¦….

Track & Field πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ:
We hosted the Regional meet on Tuesday and had several strong performances!
Sauk Prairie came just short of qualifying anyone for the State Meet. Taylen Young PR’d by over 9 feet πŸ”₯ and put himself in contention, finishing 4th.
Our girls 4x800 relay teamβ€”Charlotte Gregg, Clarissa Brickl, Kendalyn Brickl, and Kjersten Hagenβ€”ran the races of their lives πŸ…, finishing in 9:43.62. That time is the 2nd fastest in Sauk Prairie history, just missing the 1997 record.
The boys followed with an impressive 4x800, finishing 5th in 8:08.36 with Jacob Wiegmann, Taylor Isenring, Gavin Carncross, and Drake Brensike πŸ‘.
Charlotte Busser, the only freshman in her event, set a PR of 12.66 and placed 5th πŸ’₯.
Jacob Wiegmann placed 8th in the mile (4:51.0).
Evie Bahe ran the 400m with her 2nd fastest time ever (1:01.35), placing 5th.
Makayla Greffin closed out the night in pole vault, clearing 9-0 (just 3 inches off her PR) and finishing 8th.

Boys Tennis 🎾:
Competed in Sub-Sectionals at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on Tuesday and unfortunately did not have anyone advance to Sectionals.

Another great week for our kids/programs! πŸ™ŒπŸ¦… Here is a recap of some great accomplishments!

⚾ Baseball:
Went 3-0 last week defeating Portage twice (3-1 and 14-0) and River Valley (14-6) to move to 19-5 (12-2 Conf). πŸ”₯
With the pair of wins over Portage, your Eagles claimed the Badger Small Conference Championship! πŸ† Their first conference championship in 18 years! πŸŽ‰
The Eagles are winners of 18 of 19 and won 12 straight conference games! πŸ’ͺ
They wrap up the regular season tonight (Tuesday) at home vs Tomah and will open postseason play on Tuesday, June 2nd as the #1 seed awaiting Platteville/McFarland.

Went 1-0-1 last week defeating Mt. Horeb (3-0) βœ… and drawing Monona Grove (0-0) 🀝
With the win over Mt. Horeb, the girls finished 5-0-2 in conference and secured a share of the Conference Championship! πŸ†πŸ‘
They now sit at 8-2-5 overall and wrap up the regular season Thursday at Dodgeville.
The girls earned the #1 regional seed and will host #8 Sparta on Tuesday, June 2nd at 7 PM.

Boys Lacrosse πŸ₯:
Went 4-1 last week defeating Wayland Academy (10-0), DeForest (8-5), Pulaski (13-1) and Superior (7-4), while dropping a road contest to Oregon (2-15).
The boys are 6-7 (3-5 Conf) and will wrap up the regular season with:
Away game at Waunakee on Wednesday 🚍
Home game vs Sun Prairie on Friday 🏠
They also received their playoff seeding and will host LaCrosse Area Co-op in the first round on Wednesday, May 27th πŸ—“οΈπŸ”₯
