SPRIG OF THAT is a tabla, fiddle, cello, and guitar quartet playing a hearty Midwest-raised and globally inspired acoustic stew. Pushed by producer Jayme Stone, the band stakes new sonic terrain for itself on Foragers, their upcoming full-length featuring guest appearances by Sierra Hull, Olov Johansson (Väsen), Simon Chrisman, Rohith Jayaraman, and Wes Corbett (who produced their 2023 release bloom).

Formed in Minneapolis, MN in 2018, the group has played legendary venues from Portland’s Old Church Minneapolis’ Cedar Cultural Center and NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall; warmed up stages for artists like Chris Eldridge/Kristen Andriessen, the Andrew Marlin String Band, and Charlie Parr; performed at festivals like Pickathon and Blue Ox; and collaborated with organizations like Carnegie Hall and Minnesota Public Radio to give educational workshops across the country.

We have received the unfortunate news that the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets will be withdrawing their upcoming performance from the Sauk Prairie River Arts Center series, along with all of their remaining tour dates for the 2026–2027 season.

To our friends, fans, and everyone who has supported the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets,

We wanted to let everyone know that, due to health issues affecting one of our members, we’ve made the decision to cancel all of our remaining performances.

We’re sorry to miss the opportunity to perform for everyone who had plans to join us, and we appreciate your understanding. Right now, our priority and focus is on taking care of each other and giving things the time they need.

*We appreciate everyone who has shared a stage with us, welcomed us into their communities, and continued to cheer us on. *

Shauncey Ali has won the RockyGrass fiddle competition, performed with Peter Gabriel, composed music for an Ambie-nominated podcast and created MadFiddle, a reimagined model for music education.

The Shauncey Ali Quartet captivates audiences with evocative melodies and daring arrangements that straddle the intersection of tradition and innovation. The ensemble artfully blends bluegrass, Celtic and Nordic styles with sensibilities influenced by pop, rock and classical music. Together, SAQ challenges listeners with an experience that is virtuosic yet accessible, rooted in tradition yet unbound by convention.

Featuring Nicholas Vanhaute (mandolin), Hans Holzen (acoustic and electric guitars) and David Havas (upright bass).

Learn to make this "Handy Little Market Basket" with Mary Luckhardt Klemm!

Level: Beginner/No experience necessary
Price: $140
Ages: 16+
Time: Satruday, October 3rd, 9am-3pm

In this workshop students will learn about using reed as a weaving material and basic weaving techniques to create a useful basket, reflective of each person’s creative choices.

Artist Bio: I am a retired High School art teacher having taught for 31 years at Waunakee High School. I have been weaving for about 25 years and during that time have participated in many art shows including 2 years in the Fall Art Tour. I have a studio in my home and both teach basket making classes and sell my work from that studio. I have taken many weaving classes at Sievers and through our Prairie Weavers” Guild in the Sauk/ Prairie area. I was also a beef farmer for almost 30 years with a farm and a studio on the farm, both of which greatly affected my love of nature and the use of natural materials in my work.
