Well, that's a wrap!

Your Sauk Prairie Marching Band had one heck of a finish to their season. On Saturday, they competed in Whitewater at the WSMA State Championships. They placed 2nd in their class with an 88.913! That sets a new record score for Sauk Prairie High School in their 41-year history of the championships!

The Colorguard continued their dominance over the past five years, winning another title in Class AA (4th in the last 5 years)!

It was an amazing season where students achieved all of the goals they set last spring. All scores in box 4 and two captions in box 5. Way to go, Sauk Prairie!

One more chance to catch "Like a Moth to a Flame" this Monday, October 19th, for our annual fall music concert. It will be at 7pm in the South Gym.

State Championships are on Saturday!

Come cheer on your Sauk Prairie Marching Band as they take the UW-Whitewater Perkins Field at 3:09 pm.

We will have an open rehearsal tonight in Sauk Prairie from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm to see the final run-through before state on Saturday. Come and learn how to cheer for marching bands and help us have the best run on Saturday.

What a weekend!

On a warm Sunday, we were able to host our annual Sauk Prairie Marching Band Invite, where we had 8 bands from around the state of Wisconsin competing on the stadium field. It was a great celebration of music in a community that values the same. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported the band!

Senior Spotlight - Evelyn Cunningham

My name is Evelyn Cunningham, and I am the Drum Major for the 2026 Marching Band. This is my fourth season, and I spent my first 3 years marching in the clarinet section. After high school, I plan on attending a 4-year college to study history. My favorite memories from marching band are always the feeling of performing a show you know by heart.

Senior Spotlight - Kenzie Teague

Hi, my name is Kenzie Teague! I am the captain of our colorguard team and the flag section leader. After high school, I plan on attending a university where I will major in political science and minor in women’s studies. What I’ll remember most about marching band is how much it has helped me grow/shaped the person I want to become. It has taught me people skills that I will carry with me even beyond high school.

Senior Spotlight - Mandy Johnson

Hi! I'm Mandy Johnson. I play the flute, and I'm the horn line captain for the 2026-2027 Sauk Prairie marching band season. My plans after high school are to attend MATC for two years and then transfer to UW-Madison College for a doctoral degree in forensic psychology.

The things I'll remember from my experience in the Sauk Prairie Marching Band will be finding my love for instrumental music as much as vocal music, the beautiful friendships I've made, and the incredible people who taught me how to be the best musician I can be. ❤️

Senior Spotlight - Ella Buttchen

Hi! My name is Ella Buttchen, and I'm currently the weapon line section leader in the color guard of the Sauk Prairie Marching Band. After high school, I hope to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to major in psychology. I've made so many amazing memories throughout the past four years, but my favorite thing about the marching band will always be doing what I love with people who share that love with me.

Senior Spotlight - Lydia Zajicek

My name is Lydia Zajicek, and I am the section leader and center marimba for our marching band. After high school, I plan on attending college for elementary education or a BFA in musical theatre. From my four years in our marching band, I’ll never forget my connections with our staff, front ensemble parties, & our hype circles so we “don’t suck” while handing out lemon drops.
