Calvary Children's Home

Calvary Children's Home I would seek a golden curl,
And a freckled, toothless grin. (Copied)

Our purpose is to provide a safe, loving, Christian environment for children needing long-term placement apart from their families, where each child is given the opportunity to reach their full potential in their personal, emotional and spiritual life. “I WOULD GATHER CHILDREN”

Some would gather money
Along the path of life,
Some would gather roses,
And rest from worldly strife;
But I wou

ld gather children
From among the thorns of sin. For money cannot enter
In that land of endless day,
And roses that are gathered
Soon will wilt along the way. But oh, the laughing children,
As I cross the sunset sea,
And the gates swing wide to Heaven
I can take them in with me!!

**🌱 Rooted in Faith. Rising Through Service. 🤝**

One of the greatest lessons we can teach our children is that a life of purpose is a life spent serving others.

As part of Calvary Children's Home's **Rooted and Rising Summer Program**, our students recently participated in **Calvary Serve Day**, putting their faith into action by serving at **Warehouse of Hope** and through our **Widows Project**. As they provided food for families and practical help for widows, they experienced the joy of serving others.

Rooted and Rising is more than a summer program—it's a faith-based journey that helps children grow in character, responsibility, resilience, and their relationship with God. Through biblical teaching, mentoring, and hands-on service, they are learning that true leadership begins with a servant's heart.

We are incredibly proud of these young people as they discover their God-given purpose by making a difference in the lives of others.

*"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..."* — **Mark 10:45**

Occasionally, someone leaves a mark on your heart and life that stays with you forever. “Aunt Rudy” was one of those precious people. As a house parent at Calvary Children’s Home, she faithfully modeled the love of Christ to the countless children entrusted to her care.

Her sweet, gentle, and truly genteel spirit was a comfort to so many in our Home, Church, and community. With a kind word, a patient heart, and a tender hug, she could calm even the most troubled child and make them feel safe, loved, and valued. She lived out the compassion and grace of Jesus every day in the quiet ways that mattered most.
Many children who passed through Calvary Children’s Home will forever remember her love, her prayers, and the example she set before them. Her life was a beautiful testimony of Christian kindness and servant-hearted love. She modeled Christianity to the fullest.

Like the Lord in Psalm 147.3, she was always ready to “Heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds.” Her influence will continue to live on in the many lives she touched so deeply.
Thank you, Rudy, for the time you and Ben gave to the Lord at Calvary. We were better because of you both.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, all of us at Calvary Children’s Home pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our great nation.
We are deeply thankful for their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their legacy of service continues to inspire generations of Americans.

At Calvary, we also encourage our older children to consider the military as a meaningful career path — one that provides opportunity, purpose, discipline, and the chance to serve something greater than themselves while giving back to their country and local community.

Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have served and continue to serve.
May we never forget. ❤️🤍💙

What a special weekend celebrating two incredible events that point back to God’s faithfulness!

First, we are beyond proud of, Max, on his graduation from North Cobb Christian School! Watching him grow into the young man he is today has been one of the greatest blessings of our ministry. More importantly than any academic achievement, we are thankful for the strong witness for Christ he has become and the heart he has for serving others and honoring the Lord in all he does.

Our prayer for Max continues to be Psalm 51:10:
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”

Max, we love you deeply and cannot wait to see how God continues to lead and use your life for His glory!

We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Dr. Roberto and the entire West Cobb Chiropractic team for doing such a fantastic job with their first run hosting the 32nd Annual Kids Day Event benefiting Calvary Children’s Home! The event was an incredible success, and we are so grateful for the love and support shown to this ministry.

Dr. Roberto has faithfully supported Calvary for decades through generous financial support, food drives, and by helping keep our staff “aligned” and healthy through his chiropractic care. His servant’s heart and commitment to helping children and families has made a lasting impact on so many lives.

Thank you, Dr. Roberto and team, for all you do for Calvary Children’s Home and our community. We are blessed by your friendship, generosity, and faithfulness!

Today, we are celebrating the incredible accomplishments of three former residents of Calvary Children’s Home — and we could not be more proud of them!

✨ Nick recently dedicated his daughter, marking a beautiful new chapter of faith, family, and fatherhood.

✨ Alex has been promoted into the prestigious Field Apprentice 1 Program with Brasfield & Gorrie, an exciting step toward a promising career and future.
✨ Amoni has successfully completed boot camp, demonstrating perseverance, discipline, and courage as she begins her military journey.

These milestones are more than personal achievements — they are powerful reminders of what happens when children are surrounded by consistent love, guidance, opportunity, and support.

Because of the generosity of our donors, church partners, volunteers, and friends, children at Calvary Children’s Home are given the encouragement and foundation they need to grow into thriving adults who impact their families, workplaces, communities, and beyond.

Your support helps provide stability during difficult seasons, mentorship during critical years, and hope for brighter futures. Today, we celebrate Nick, Alex, and Amoni — but we also celebrate YOU and the difference your compassion continues to make in the lives of children every single day.
Thank you for believing in our children and investing in their futures. ❤️
