I sent this email to my friend Vern, but it also will have meaning to others... Hi Vern,
Hope you are doing OK, it's been awhile.
Please let all your riders know that I've initiated a push to build a team to support the trail work effort
I've created a MeetUp group and a page to support the MeetUp.
Please encourage everyone to sign-up and if possible, to participate and support by spreading the word, sharing the links and having a kind thought about the many-many hours (&$} that Jim Brannon and I put into this effort. Every penny that has ever been donated has gone back into the trail.

We need riders to support the effort to build awareness about the huge amount of work done over the last several years.
This will also provide a channel to report problems, prioritize work target projects, and share ideas to accomplish these tasks.
Also, a huge Thank You to Douglas Dewberry who recently donated $250 !!
That will help pay for the rental of a small tractor to clear debris, rock, slumped soil from the trail margins within Paulding.
Thanks,
Chris
The Silver Comet Trail Team works to improve safety and trail maintenance issues within Paulding and Polk Counties. We also have a Facebook Group for the team:https://www.facebook.com/groups/SilverCome
