THIBAULT BENISTANT RECOVERY UPDATE
After taking the time he needed to process his situation, Thibault Benistant is ready to share where he stands today.
Thibault sustained a spinal cord injury and is now in full-time rehabilitation. Until now, he has not felt ready to speak about it publicly. News like this takes time to absorb, and every injured athlete deserves to tell their own story, in their own words, when they are ready.
Here is what we can tell you: he is all in. Every single day, physically, mentally and emotionally, Thibault brings to rehab the exact same fight he brought to the starting gate.
This is a long road. There are good days and hard days, and no fixed timeline. So Thibault is not counting the months. He is counting the wins, and he is stacking them up one session at a time.
Anyone who knows Thibault knows the strength, the determination and the fighting spirit that took him to the very top of world motocross. He has every bit of it. What he should
not have to carry, on top of the work, is the cost of it.
