Beauty Changes Lives BCL was founded on the principle that " I am a beauty school graduate" is a phrase worth being proud to shout from the roof tops.

Beauty Changes Lives is a nonprofit driven to make the beauty profession a first-choice career by empowering individuals with mentorship, inspiration & scholarships. We are committed to paying it forward through scholarships and philanthropic causes to the students, professionals and educators who are the Beauty and Wellness industry. Our mission is to create a movement that unites Beauty and Wellness Professionals and those we serve. Our vision is to Elevate, Educate and Expose the power of touch to transform careers, lives and communities. The Beauty Changes Lives Foundation focuses on changing lives through:

· Building awareness of career opportunities in the beauty and wellness industry
· Uniting professionals in one mission through their time and resources
· Awarding scholarships to students entering the profession and helping to remove financial hurdles
· Supporting professionals through advanced educational experiences
· Connecting iconic beauty and wellness industry leaders with current students through Celebrity Mentorships
· Raising awareness of the beauty industry’s philanthropic activities
BCL is Changing Lives:

· Over $2 Million has been awarded to 257 students attending Cosmetology, Nail, Massage and Esthetic programs at AACS member schools.
· BCL offers Advanced Education Scholarships to Licensed Professionals and Educators through the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Scholarship and the Leo Passage Endowment Fund.

An Opportunity for Educators

As we celebrate the educators who give so much to the next generation, we also want to help support their continued growth.

Applications are now open for The Leo Passage “Pass It On” Educator Scholarship, funded by and The Leo Passage Endowment Fund.

This scholarship is designed to invest in educators who are committed to advancing their skills, sharing their knowledge and continuing Leo Passage’s legacy of education and mentorship.

Educators can apply now through October 31.

✨ Meet a life changed: Genevieve O’Meara. ✨

For Genevieve, esthetics is about so much more than skincare. She wants to help people feel confident in their own skin and create spaces where they feel cared for, understood, and empowered.

Her passion for combining science, creativity, education, and genuine human connection is guiding her toward a career in esthetics—and the “Find Your Passion” Esthetics Student Scholarship, funded by Lisa VanBockern, founder of Skin Script Professional Skin Care, is helping make that dream a little more attainable.

Genevieve shared that receiving the scholarship felt like an affirmation of the path she has chosen and her passion for this career. And she hopes to one day give back to the industry and encourage another aspiring esthetician the way Lisa has encouraged her.

For scholarship recipient Brhyndhya, beauty began with learning to do her own hair and grew into something much bigger: a passion for helping others feel confident in who they are.

What started as a way to express herself became a way to help others see their own beauty — beyond trends or surface-level aesthetics.

Beauty Changes Lives was honored to join Meevo at Meevo LIVE! this week in Tampa. Our Founder and Chairperson Lynelle Lynch and scholarship recipient Payton Mattas took the stage to share the power of giving back to the future of beauty and wellness.

Payton, recipient of the L’Oréal Professional LGBTQIA+ Cosmetology Student Scholarship, shared a powerful reminder of what scholarship support can mean:
“I have always felt like people had their eyes on me, but receiving this scholarship made me feel seen.”
