🌟 Youth Making a Difference Through Awareness & Education

We're incredibly proud of Lucas and his friend, Cole, for choosing an important topic for their English final at Poway High School: Exploitation Through Online Apps.

The two students researched how traffickers and predators can use online platforms to target vulnerable youth and presented their findings to their teacher and classmates. Their presentation helped raise awareness about a topic that impacts communities everywhere.

👏 Lucas and Cole did a fantastic job educating their peers and being part of the solution.

At Operation Love Global, we believe prevention starts with education. When young people are informed about online risks and how to stay safe, they are better equipped to protect themselves and others.

Thank you, Lucas and Cole, for using your voices to shine a light on this important issue. Your efforts are helping create a safer future for the next generation. 💙

🤝 Building Stronger Partnerships for Survivors

This week, I had the privilege of meeting with Taraneh Sarebanha, J.D., Assistant Executive Director at One Safe Place North, a program of the San Diego District Attorney's Office.

During my visit, Taraneh provided a tour of their incredible 60,000-square-foot facility and shared the many free services available to victims and survivors throughout our community. I was also introduced to dedicated professionals, including Marjorie Saylor, Victim Advocate and Director of Human Trafficking Services for the District Attorney's Office.

One Safe Place offers a wide range of no-cost services, including:

💙 Support for victims of trafficking through partnerships with law enforcement
🧠 Therapy and mental health services
⚖️ Legal services and restraining order assistance
👧 Child advocacy services
🏠 Health, housing, and wellness resources
✨ And so much more

These resources are life-changing for individuals seeking safety, healing, and a fresh start. In fact, within the past two months, Operation Love Global has referred two young women to One Safe Place for support.

Ending exploitation takes a community. We are grateful for partners like One Safe Place who stand ready to help survivors reclaim their lives with dignity, compassion, and hope.

Shared from Jon Clash - A massive two-week child exploitation crackdown across Southern California resulted in 341 arrests and the rescue or identification of 40 children.

The operation, called “Operation Firewall,” was led by the Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and involved 112 law enforcement agencies across five counties.

According to FOX 11, the arrests involved crimes including the production, possession, and distribution of child s*xual abuse material, lewd acts with a child, attempts to meet minors for s*xual purposes, human trafficking, failure to register as a s*x offender, and parole or probation violations.

And every arrest is a reminder that this evil is not some distant thing happening “somewhere else.” It is online. It is in chat rooms. It is on apps. It is in communities. It is wherever predators can reach children.

Law enforcement also warned about online grooming, AI generated exploitation, and extremist groups targeting vulnerable youth.

Parents, this is not fearmongering.
This is reality.

Know what your kids are doing online. Know who they are talking to. Know what apps they are using. Predators are not waiting in dark alleys anymore. Many of them are waiting behind screens.
Thank God for every child rescued.
