Earlier this year, one of our young Story Time friends came running up with a Dolly Parton biography from the new non-fiction shelf. She excitedly said to her sister, "Look, it's a book about Dolly!" When I asked her how she knew Dolly she said "I love her! She sends me books every month!"

I've been thinking about that conversation a lot this week. Folks online have been asking if, since May 4 is Star Wars Day (May the Forth Be With You), can September 25 be Dolly Day (Nine Two Five). We decided that we will celebrate Dolly Day at the Library this September 25, we hope you can join us!

Don't forget that Poultney children age 0-5 are eligible to sign up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library thanks to sponsorship by Sara's Stories!

Attention parents, grandparents, and teachers! We just discarded 12 boxes of picture books in preparation for new shelving in the children's room. There are some great titles that just were not circulating here.

These discarded picture books are FOR SALE BY DONATION while supplies last! You name your price, no reasonable offers will be refused.
