We have received generous donations from a number of slate quarry owners (Steve Taran, Shawn Camara and Richard Rupe, to name a new), the Poultney Downtown Revitalization Committee, the Poultney Development Corporation plus a grant from the Vermont Community Foundation. Forty five individuals and organizations have allowed us to reach our goal of retiring the promissory note. We have applied for another grant from the National Life Group in Montpelier. We are in talks with dry stone wall builder Brian Post of Standing Stone Landscape Architecture. We’re going to do this. We hope to break ground in 2019 with your help. It might seem an overwhelming challenge, but all we need is 200 people to raise $1000 each or 300 people to raise $667 each or 400 people to raise $500 each.... and so on. Together we can do this! We've already received pledges totaling $49,070. Let's build it Poultney! Click the Donate Button on the Main Page or go to our GoFundMe campaign https://www.gofundme.com/slatequarrypark
