For 84 years, the Poulsbo Lions have been showing what kindness looks like in motion. Started in 1942, Poulsbo Lions' now 68 members are dedicated to helping those in need, and to creating an environment that allows our members to enrich their own lives by helping others. At the 2026 Kitsap Fair & Stampede, we screened the vision of 480 kids — and 99 of them were referred to optometrists for follow‑up care. Early detection makes a huge difference, and we’re proud to help families catch potential issues sooner.

A huge thank‑you to the 22 Lions and volunteers who made this possible. Your time, energy, and heart helped hundreds of children see their world more clearly.

It’s that time of year — fresh Fuji apples straight from the orchard!
$50 for a 40‑pound box, and it supports two great causes.

đź’› $40 from every box goes to Camp Leo, a summer camp for kids with Type 1 diabetes.
đź’™ $10 supports the North Kitsap Viking Leos, our amazing youth service club.

These apples are crisp, sweet, and perfect for sharing — split a box with a friend or neighbor! We're taking orders this month and apples will be delivered near the end of October.

đź’› Poulsbo Lions & NK Viking Leos: Walking for Pediatric Cancer

Every March, Poulsbo Lions and NK Viking Leos lace up for our 5K Cancer Walk to support children and families facing pediatric cancer.

In 2027, we’ll celebrate our third annual walk — a growing tradition of compassion and community spirit.

Last year’s event raised funds for St. Michael Medical Center, helping local patients receive vital care close to home.

We’re proud to keep walking, keep giving, and keep shining a light of hope for kids and families across Kitsap County.

🌱 Firehouse Garden Update

It was our first turnip harvest Tuesday! 🥳 Rob has planted a few new rows of greens, and the newer veggies are growing beautifully. We also harvested lettuce for the second time this season — fresh, crisp, and ready to share.

All in all, we delivered 28 pounds of produce to ShareNet Food Bank today! đź’š If you have fruits trees and can't eat it all, consider donating it to a food bank so it won't go to waste.

Every pound helps nourish our neighbors — thank you to everyone who makes these harvests possible.

Poulsbo Lions will be vision screening, which only takes a minute. And we're trying to get donations of free kids' bike helmets to protect some noggins!
