After the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, 2026, the Foxwynd Foundation was moved to provide emergency funds to Direct Relief and All Hands and Hearts, two organizations actively supporting those affected.

The powerful 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes earlier this year left a devastating human and physical toll across affected communities. Thousands of lives have been lost, thousands more have been injured or displaced, and extensive damage to homes, healthcare facilities, utilities, transportation systems, and other critical infrastructure has continued to disrupt daily life.

“In the face of a disaster of this magnitude, we believe solidarity must be transformed into meaningful action. We chose to support Direct Relief and All Hands & Hearts because of their extensive experience, proven ability to mobilize quickly, and commitment to reaching communities during their most difficult moments.” stated Rene Bentley, Trustee of the Foxwynd Foundation.

The Foxwynd Foundation is grateful to continue our partnership with the amazing leaders at Fostering Hope in support of their “Foster-Share Closet” & “Dignity Duffles” initiatives this year!

Fostering Hope, a community of volunteers and families passionate about foster support, recently received a $10,000 Foxwynd grant in March 2026 to help provide essentials such as car seats, hygiene products, and Dignity Duffles (overnight bags with tailored items) to youth experiencing foster care. This tangible support ensures that children going through their journey have the resources they need to feel safe, valued, and supported.

This grant marks our second year of partnership between Fostering Hope and our Foundation, and was funded through the Foxwynd Foundation DAF. We are proud to continue working with such an incredible organization in pursuit of such a mission. Thank you, Fostering Hope!

A powerful and incredibly moving site visit for Foxwynd Foundation Chairman David Bentley, who recently had the opportunity to spend time with the Fighting Back Scholarship Program in Malvern, PA.

Founded in 1989, Fighting Back provides scholarships for adaptive fitness training & specialized programming for individuals rebuilding their lives after a life-changing injury, illness, or disability. Their work goes far beyond exercise- helping participants regain strength, mobility, confidence, independence, and perhaps most importantly, a true community of support.

The Fighting Back team went above and beyond to make David’s visit meaningful. He toured the gym, interacted with participants, connected with several members of the Board, and heard programmatic updates directly from Health Coordinator MJ Schmidt and Executive Director Scott Dillman.

The most powerful part of the visit, ultimately, came from the people themselves. Our partners serve more than 200 individuals from every walk of life: people recovering from devastating accidents, strokes and serious illnesses, first responders injured in the line of duty, veterans, and others adapting to circumstances that have forever changed their lives. Inside their Gym, they find trained professionals and adapted fitness programs, but they also find encouragement, acceptance, friendship, and a place where they can simply belong.

One participant summed it up beautifully while speaking with David: it’s a place where you can walk through the door knowing you belong and no one is judging you. Sometimes a gym is so much more than a gym. Sometimes it is the place that gives someone the strength- physically and emotionally- to get through the day and keep fighting back.

We are incredibly proud to have awarded Fighting Back a $50,000 grant this year to support its “Keeping Momentum” initiative, helping provide one-on-one adapted fitness training to individuals rebuilding their lives after injury, illness, and disability.

Congratulations to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) on their recent Foxwynd grant award! $45,000 will go directly to aiding medical care for the city’s most at-risk pets.

Since 2006, PAWS has played a leading role in transforming animal welfare in Philadelphia, helping to drive a nearly 50% decrease in animals entering the city shelter and increasing the survival rate for those who do. After supporting the Medical Relief Fund last year and providing a $10,000 emergency grant following the tragic CHOP parking garage collapse next door to PAWS’ Grays Ferry clinic, the Foxwynd Foundation is proud to renew our investment in this incredible partnership.

Foxwynd Grant Committee member Erin Bentley joined her uncle-in-law Scott Bentley with the Switchpoint Foundation at Maternity Care Coalition’s second “Community Care Kiosk” unveiling yesterday!

After being inspired by Erin Bentley’s passion for MCC’s mission and their first Community Care Kiosk in Delaware County, the Switchpoint Foundation felt strongly about funding this initiative in Pottstown, PA. With their generous support, the second official kiosk is now ready to serve the community! ADA-compliant and working in 8 languages, it provides 24-7 access to items like free menstrual, sexual health resources, essential baby supplies, and more to the local community.

We have so much gratitude for the leadership of both Maternity Care Coalition and the Switchpoint Foundation for making this kiosk possible. Thank you for having us, and congratulations to everyone involved.

Visiting the Pennsylvania Bat Conservation and Rehabilitation was an incredible experience. As the only rescue of its kind in PA and one of the largest in the US, we were surprised by how small the building seemed on the outside. Upon stepping inside, however, Executive Director Pam Villagra got a look at the magic inside!

The PA Bat Rescue aims to protect Pennsylvania's vital ecosystems by rescuing, rehabilitating, and returning bats to the wild. Their facility included several rooms, such as an indoor flight cage, rehabilitation zones, and even a family section where mothers could stay with their babies. Their rehabilitation success rates are tremendous, with the ultimate goal of reintroducing the bats to the wild. Whether they faced abuse, injury, or orphaning, these bats have a real chance to rest and thrive once more.

Founder/President Stephanie Stronsick and the dedicated PA Bat Rescue team are leaders in regional wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Hearing the stories about many of the bats in their care was heartbreaking, but it reaffirmed the importance of this work. We are proud to support the PA Bat Rescue through our recent grant partnership and look forward to the future of this relationship!

We are proud to continue standing beside the work of Philabundance in support of the Community Kitchen Modernization Project. Working with Philabundance is a privilege, and they continue to make a significant impact throughout the Philadelphia region. Thank you for sharing!

Philabundance recently received a generous $57,187 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, distributed through the Foxwynd Foundation Donor Advised Fund.

This gift will be used to purchase new kitchen equipment for Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK), as part of PCK’s kitchen modernization project.

The project aims to improve the nutritional contents of each meal produced at PCK, while increasing kitchen efficiency and meal production capacity.

As our Executive Director Pamela Villagra shared, “Supporting organizations like To Love A Canine reflects the heart of our mission - to ensure that access to critical care and resources is never a barrier to dignity, healing, and second chances. By funding essential medical treatments for rescued dogs, we are not only saving lives, but also strengthening the connection between compassion and community impact.”

🚨🐾 BIG NEWS!! For the second year in a row, the incredible Foxwynd Foundation has awarded TLC Rescue a lifesaving grant! ❤️

This year’s $15,000 grant will help provide critical medical care for dogs in need, including heartworm treatment, orthopedic procedures, and other urgent veterinary expenses that give rescue dogs the second chances they deserve.

Medical care is one of the biggest investments we make in every dog we rescue, and partnerships like this allow us to continue saying “yes” to dogs who need us most. We are beyond grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for believing in our mission and standing beside us once again. 🐶✨

Congratulations, PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society), and thank you for leading this incredible, life-saving work. We are proud to support pets like Ollie so they can receive the care and find the homes that they deserve.

Please give yourselves a HUGE round of applause 👏 Thanks to you, our Medical Relief Fund matching challenge was a resounding success! We are thrilled to share that we not only met, but *surpassed* our matching gift goal of $65K, raising an incredible $145,000 for sick, injured, and ailing pets who need out help the most!

This extraordinary achievement was made possible not only by supporters such as yourself, but by the generous matching gifts from the Foxwynd Foundation and Pinkie's Mom, whose combined support doubled the impact of every donation.

This vital support is already transforming lives by providing treatment, comfort, and care to pets like Ollie. This little one was lethargic and suffering from an upper respiratory infection when he was found as a stray and brought to the crowded city shelter. Now on the mend in PAWS' sick cat ward, Ollie is already starting to regain his strength (and his tiny voice!) while we work to match him with a foster home to recover in.

On behalf of Ollie and the other pets we’ll save this year, we thank you for opening your heart and rising to the challenge. You have given sick and injured dogs and cats a way out of the shelter and into the safe and loving homes they deserve!
