The Wilson County Economic Development Corporation is excited to welcome Jennifer Thompson Baird as the new Executive Director of WCEDC.

Jennifer brings more than 20+ years of dedicated economic development experience through her service with the Stockdale Economic Development Corporation, where she served not only as a longtime board member, but also as Administrator. Throughout her tenure, she worked alongside the SEDC Board, city leadership, businesses, and community partners to help create meaningful growth and opportunities for Stockdale and the surrounding region.

A proud graduate of Stockdale ISD, Jennifer has always had a deep passion for supporting the economic vitality of Wilson County and the communities that make it special. Alongside her husband Dan Baird, a Floresville ISD graduate, they have raised a wonderful family that continues to call Wilson County home, including their two grandchildren who are being raised right here in Wilson County as well.

During her time with the SEDC, Jennifer helped lead efforts involving business recruitment, downtown revitalization, industrial growth, grant development, infrastructure improvements, and community enhancement projects that created long term impact for Stockdale. Her leadership also helped strengthen relationships and partnerships at the local, regional, and state levels.

Jennifer’s experience, dedication, and heart for Wilson County make her an incredible addition to the WCEDC, and we are excited for the future ahead.

Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Jennifer Thompson Baird as the Executive Director of the Wilson County Economic Development Corporation!
