REPORTING DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2025

Dear Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP) Participant,

This is a friendly reminder that all MLDP participants have reporting requirements for the 2024-25 MLDP season, which closed on January 26, 2025 for mule deer and February 28, 2025 for white-tailed deer. The reporting deadline is 11:59 PM on April 1, 2025. All required data must be reported through your Land Management Assistance (LMA) account at https://lma.tpwd.texas.gov. See below for additional information regarding reporting requirements.

When ready to report, please access your LMA account and click on the main tab labeled ‘Report Harvest or Habitat’ to get started. If you have already completed your reports for the season, please disregard this email. Additional reminders will be sent throughout March only to individuals associated with sites that are missing reports.

Please remember that any participant who fails to report required information by the deadline will not be eligible to participate in MLDP for the upcoming season (2025-26).

If you have any questions regarding how to report your data for the 2024-25 season, please click the Help link in LMA or contact the LMA help desk at 512-389-4815.

Thanks,

TPWD

GENERAL INFORMATION

The total harvest for the season must be reported for any property with an MLDP enrollment, even if 0 deer were taken.
HARVEST OPTION REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Report the total number of antlerless deer, bucks and unbranched-antler (spike) bucks harvested on each enrolled Management Unit during the 2024-25 season, regardless of whether MLDP tags were received for only buck, antlerless, or both.
CONSERVATION OPTION REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Report the total number of antlerless and buck deer harvested on each enrolled Management Unit during the 2024-25 season.
Report all habitat management practices completed on each enrolled Management Unit during the 2024-25 MLDP enrollment year (March 1, 2024 - February 28, 2025). Information on habitat management practice requirements is available here (review information for continued program participation, not program entry).
Conservation Option participants should reference their TPWD-approved wildlife management plan or contact the cooperating TPWD biologist for specific questions regarding approved habitat management practices that qualify for participation.
Make sure to submit all deer population data collected this season using the form provided or approved by your biologist, if you have not already done so.
Note for Wildlife Management Association/Cooperative Members: Harvest data and any habitat management practices must be reported for each participating member’s management unit.
AGGREGATE SITE TYPE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS (applies only to MLDP cooperators participating as an aggregate site type)

The above reporting requirements apply to your aggregate site depending on your enrollment option; however, all harvest data should be reported at the Aggregate Site level (not per member Management Unit). Habitat management practices (if applicable) should still be reported for each distinct Management Unit where the practices were conducted.
MLDP Enrollment Info for 2025-26

Conservation Option (CO) participants will automatically be enrolled in the 2025-26 MLDP season if all required data are reported by the April 1 deadline. If a CO participant does not plan to participate in MLDP for the upcoming season, the participant must opt out of MLDP through the LMA system by September 26, 2025 (the Friday before the start of MLDP season).
Harvest Option (HO) participants must submit a new enrollment request to participate next season. HO enrollment is available from May 1 through September 1.
MLDP fees will be calculated when the enrollment is created for next season. Payment is due by September 26, 2025. Failure to pay by the deadline will result in automatic cancellation of the enrollment for the season.
