Dear God, I’m praying right now for the person reading this, and I’m praying Your word over their life. Your word in Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” And God, I speak that over them. Not some of the days, all the days. Let goodness and mercy follow them into their workplace, into the hard conversation they’ve been dreading, and everywhere they go today. Touch their spirit, because some feel far from You. Touch their soul, because some are weary in a way that sleep doesn’t fix. Touch their body, because some are hurting and haven’t told anybody. Help them place their fears and worries in Your hands for the whole day, not just a minute. You’ve seen them through every day up until this one, and You’re already ahead of them in tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save. -Zephaniah 3:17

Dear God, thank You for this new day, and thank You for everything You’ve forgiven me for. I’m coming to You with my hands open, not pretending I’ve got it all together, because You already know I don’t. Forgive me for the sins I did on purpose, the ones I did without thinking, and the ones I’ve never been brave enough to say out loud. Your word in Psalm 103:12 says, “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” And God, I’ve been digging up things You already buried. Help me stop going back to look for what You’ve thrown away. Soften every part of my heart that turned to stone, and help me forgive the way You’ve forgiven me. I give this day to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. -Micah 7:19

Dear God, quiet my mind. That’s where I need to start today, because so many things are pulling at my attention and trying to take my peace. Your word in Psalm 94:19 says, “In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.” And God, I’m tired of pretending this isn’t a weak spot for me, so I’m asking You to show up right here. I’ve been trying to carry tomorrow today, answering questions nobody’s asked and solving problems that haven’t happened. Help me stay in today. If it’s something I can change, give me the strength to do it, and if it’s something I can’t control, help me leave it in Your hands. I give my mind to You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble. -Psalm 119:165

Dear God, thank You for this day, and thank You for being high above every nation and every headline that tries to take my peace. Your word in Psalm 113:5-6 says, “Who is like the Lord our God, who dwells on high, who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth?” God, nothing happening in this world catches You by surprise, and no plan of man has ever moved You off Your throne. Yet even though You’re that high above everything, You still come down to meet me right where I am. If I’m feeling down or forgotten today, remind me that’s exactly who You reach for. Help me praise You from the moment I open my eyes to the moment I close them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap. -Psalm 113:7

Dear God, thank You for this day and for Your word that reminds me to shine my light in a world that keeps getting darker. Your word in Daniel 12:3 says, “Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.” God, You never promised the road would be easy, but You did promise how it ends. When the walls feel like they’re closing in and the pressure feels like it won’t end, help me anchor myself in what You’ve already said is coming instead of pretending the problems aren’t there. Remind me that You’ve seen every trial, every tear, and every moment of exhaustion. The victory is already won, and one day I’m going to shine like the stars forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. -Proverbs 4:18

Dear God, thank You for this new day and thank You for being good no matter what’s happening in my life. Your word in Psalm 107:1 says, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” God, whether things are going good or I’m walking through something difficult, You’re still good. When You answer my prayers and even if You’re silent, You’re still good. Help me remember today that Your love for me never changes. You love me when I fall short, when I make mistakes, and even when I feel unworthy of You. Thank You for a love that endures forever, no matter what I bring to it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. -Psalm 90:14

Dear God, thank You for this day and for speaking directly to my fear. Your word in Isaiah 43:1-2 says, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” God, You didn’t say if I’d face hard times, You said when, but You also promised to be right there through every one of them. I belong to You by creation and by redemption, and that ownership is personal and secure. Help me carry that truth today no matter what waters or fire I have to walk through. You’re greater than any problem I’ll ever face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. -Psalm 147:3

Dear God, thank You for this new day and thank You for being the author of my story, even the painful chapters that I never would’ve chosen for myself. Your word in Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” God, I can look back and see moments where things that I went through almost broke me and pushed me down a road I never would have picked, but You knew I needed the push. Help me trust today that whatever I’m walking through right now is Your hand at work, even if I can’t fully see it yet. Give me the faith to hear You when You’re leading me forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the works of Your hands. -Psalm 138:8

Dear God, thank You for this new day and for Your word that reminds me You’ve been faithful generation after generation. Your word in Deuteronomy 7:9 says, “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” God, You were faithful even in my darkest moments, even when I questioned how many breaths I had left. As I step into this day, bless me with strength, peace, and everything I need to keep going. Remind me that You’re greater than all of my problems and that You’re with me wherever I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. -Lamentations 3:22-23

Dear God, thank You for this new day and for Your word that I can fully trust. Your word in 2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” God, just like David wrote by the Spirit’s revelation, help me trust that Your word carries truth I could never fully grasp on my own strength, my degrees, or my church attendance. You’re not a man that You should lie, so if You said You’re a deliverer, You can do it. If You said You’re a way maker, a provider, a healer, and a restorer, I believe You today. Help me walk in that confidence in whatever I face this morning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? -Numbers 23:19
