When big feelings had no words yet, a Katherine Johnson Elementary student needed someone to help him find them. With a plan, a tracking sheet and steady check-ins from Site Coordinator Jimmie Thomas, he now asks for a break when frustration builds, and he hasn’t had a suspension since. Stay Present.

📚🎃 TRICK OR TREAT… GIVE ME SOMETHING GOOD TO READ! 💛

Who says Halloween treats have to be candy? 🍬📖

CISofHR Site Coordinator Dania Jiggetts brought a little literacy magic to Mack Benn, Jr. Elementary School’s Trunk or Treat event!

Thanks to a generous book donation from REACH Free Big Bookstore, students received books alongside their Halloween treats, while families learned how just 20 minutes of reading at home each day can help strengthen their child’s reading skills.

👏🏽 A HUGE thank-you to REACH for helping us put more books into students’ hands and encouraging families to make reading part of their daily routine!

Feel Good Friday: Manor High juniors went from 63.8% attendance to 86% after a grade-level competition kicked off this fall. The challenge ran through October 29th, and we cheered them on. Shout-out to Trevaughn McNeil for turning showing up into a team sport.
