Every older adult deserves to age with dignity, safety and respect.

Observed each year on June 15, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day raises awareness about the abuse, neglect and financial exploitation that affect millions of older adults worldwide. It is a reminder that preventing elder abuse is a shared responsibility and one that requires strong communities, trusted support systems and a commitment to protecting the rights and well-being of older people.

Together, we can help create a future where all older adults are valued, heard and empowered to live free from harm.

Join the American Society on Aging in recognizing and taking action to support the safety, dignity and inclusion of older adults in every community.
