Do you know a youth worship team or children’s choir that loves Jesus and loves leading others in worship?

We’re looking for a group to help OPEN our ARISE Night of Worship on Friday, October 23rd at Thomas Centennial Park in Chesterton, Indiana!

ARISE is all about generations worshiping together as one body—sons and daughters stepping forward while those who came before them stand beside them. We would love to showcase young worship leaders who are passionate about using their gifts to glorify God and encourage others.

❓ Questions Jesus Asked • Week 2

“What do you want Me to do for you?”
— Mark 10:51

When Jesus asked Bartimaeus this question, He already knew the answer. He knew what Bartimaeus needed. Yet He still invited him to ask.

I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. There are seasons in life when you’re standing at a crossroads. Maybe not a dramatic one that everyone can see, but the kind that happens quietly in your heart. The kind where you’re praying for wisdom, direction, and clarity about the next step.

I find myself there right now. As I think about my family, my future, ministry, and the gifts God has entrusted to me, I keep coming back to the same prayer,
“Lord, help me hear Your voice above all the others. Show me where You’re leading, and give me the courage to follow.”

The older I get, the less interested I am in building my own plans and the more interested I am in walking the path God has for me, even when I can’t see very far down the road. So if Jesus asked me today, “What do you want Me to do for you?” I think my answer would be,
“Give me wisdom. Show me Your will. Help me be faithful with what You’ve placed in my hands.”

🙏 Prayer Friday 🙏

My prayer this morning was simple,
“Lord, help me follow Your voice above all others.”

The older I get, the more I realize there will always be opinions. People will tell you what you should do, what you shouldn’t do, what gifts are valuable, what ministry should look like, and what is or isn’t worthy of your time. Sometimes those voices are helpful. Sometimes they aren’t. Lately I’ve been praying for the wisdom to know the difference.

I don’t want fear, criticism, or the expectations of others to determine the path I’m walking. I want to follow the Great Shepherd. I trust that if I start drifting, He is more than capable of lovingly redirecting me with His rod and His staff. My desire is simple: to use the gifts God entrusted to me in a way that honors Him and points people toward Jesus.
And maybe that’s today’s reminder for all of us.

We don’t have to spend our lives trying to earn everyone’s approval. We only need to be faithful to the One who called us.

“Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”
— Psalm 23:4
