Through a grass roots approach our membership and partners vow to continue to expand viable habitat for Quail, educate the public and fellow sportsmen and sportswomen about quail habitat and the vast decline of the once prized game bird. The South

Jersey Quail Project (SJQP) is a 501 3(c) it is tax deductible organization. It was founded by a handful of concerned sportsmen and women in 2007 to battle the problem of dwindling quail populations and declining wildlife habitat. SJQP is a nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to restoring New Jersey's quail populations for future generations. Our members and volunteers are actively involved in hands-on, on-the-ground projects on private and public lands. They also work with farmers and landowners to encourage them to use wildlife-friendly practices. In addition, the SJQP also focuses on increasing awareness of the quail situation to landowners and the general public and conduct informational and educational programs such as workshops, youth conservation days and other community outreach projects. Our core focus includes habitat, stewardship and wildlife. Leaving a legacy and a strong foundation for our youth and families to enjoy and build upon.
