Tonight we had the honor of presenting an award to a graduate from Commercial Township.

There is something incredibly meaningful about seeing Robbie’s name attached not just loss, but to achievement, perseverance, and a bright future. While he never got the opportunity to experience all of life’s milestones, we are humbled to play a small role in recognizing students as they begin chasing theirs.

People often ask how we keep going after all these years.

The answer is nights like this.

Because Robbie’s story didn’t end in 2011.

It lives on in the conversations we have, the students we support, the scholarships we award, the lives we touch, and the young people who will carry his legacy forward without ever having had the chance to meet him.

On a day that is always difficult for our family, we are grateful for the opportunity to remember Robbie not only for what we lost, but for the impact he continues to have.

Congratulations to tonight’s recipient. We are honored to celebrate your accomplishments and can’t wait to see where life takes you.

Fifteen years.

It’s hard to even comprehend that number.

On June 17, 2011, Robbie graduated from Millville High School. He smiled for pictures. He laughed with family. He celebrated with friends. Like every other graduate that night, he was standing on the edge of the rest of his life.

By the morning of June 18th, he was gone.

For fifteen years, we’ve replayed those hours in my mind. The pictures. The conversations. The hugs goodbye. The questions that followed.

How could someone who was smiling be hurting so badly?

What did we miss?

Would anything have changed if we had known?

The truth is that su***de is complicated. Mental health is complicated. And sometimes there are no answers that fully satisfy the people left behind.

That’s one of the reasons we continue to tell Robbie’s story.

Not because we want people to focus on how he died, but because we want people to understand that mental health struggles don’t always look the way we expect them to. The person who is struggling may still be smiling. They may still be making plans. They may still be showing up for work, school, friends, and family.

Fifteen years later, there are now people in our community who never had the chance to know Robbie. There are kids attending our mental health fairs who weren’t even born when he died.

And yet his story continues to make an impact.

His name is spoken. His life is remembered. His legacy continues through every scholarship awarded, every student reached, every difficult conversation had, and every person who chooses to ask for help because they heard his story.

Fifteen years later, and we still wish things had turned out differently.

still wonder who he would be today.

But if there is one thing we have learned, it’s that love doesn’t end when a life does.

So today we remember Robbie not just for how he died, but for how he lived. For his laugh. His kindness. His love for his family and friends. The memories he left behind. And the lives he continues to touch fifteen years later.

Today marks fifteen years without Robbie.
And fifteen years of making sure he is never forgotten.

This weekend, our cousin took part in the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention’s Overnight Walk in Chicago.

Alongside nearly 2,000 other participants, he spent the night walking through the darkness and into the sunrise, each step taken in honor of someone loved, someone missed, and the hope that fewer families will experience this kind of loss in the future.

At one point, walkers found themselves walking through a thunderstorm. In a way, that feels symbolic. Grief often feels like that…unpredictable, uncomfortable, and sometimes overwhelming. Yet they kept moving forward, one step at a time, just as so many survivors do every day.

For our family, events like this are a reminder that we are not alone. They remind us that behind every name, every photo, and every loss, there are people who continue to advocate, continue to remember, and continue to fight for a future with more awareness, more support, and more hope.

Jason, Thank you for carrying Robbie’s memory with you through the storm, through the night, and into the sunrise.

💙 A day of community, remembrance, and giving back. 💙

This Saturday, our friends at the Punishers LEMC New Jersey Glassstown Chapter will be hosting the annual Cruisin’ for Cade motorcycle run in memory of Cade James Miller.

The event benefits Freedom Farm Animal Rescue and is a wonderful opportunity to come together, honor Cade’s memory, support a great cause, and enjoy an afternoon with the community. Even if you don’t ride, you’re welcome to attend!

We know firsthand how important it is to keep the memories of those we’ve lost alive while creating something positive in their honor. We hope you’ll consider stopping by, making a donation, or supporting the event in any way you can.

And after you’ve finished at Cruisin’ for Cade make your way over to Frosty’s Ice Cream in Cedarville for our SCOOPING OUT THE STIGMA AT FROSTY'S! fundraiser benefiting the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention and the Out of the Darkness Walk. 🍦💙

Let’s spend the day supporting causes that make a difference, honoring loved ones who are gone too soon, and showing what community is all about.
