We are thrilled to announce another workshop on feeding and eating wellness with Ashley Fuller, MS, CCC-SLP! Ashley is a phenomenal speech-language pathologist with specialized training in restricted eating and dysphagia in neurodevelopmental profiles. Last year we were fortunate to have her conduct a Zoom seminar for us, and this year she will be presenting in person at the Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University! AWA shared information with families at the Community Connections event at Broome Tioga BOCES tonight. Many agencies and community organizations in attendance too. Loved listening to the guest parent speaker who shared information on finding the right path for her daughter.
Don’t be afraid to speak up, advocate, and also listen to your child. ❤️

Alive With Autism board members would again like to thank everyone who came out Saturday for our event. A huge shoutout to our volunteers, agencies, community groups, Officer Peets with the JC Police, and the Broome County Sheriff’s Department. We had an amazing turnout. Thank you to our wonderful donors who supported our raffle. All funds raised goes directly back in support of our families. This is truly a special event for us. The event helps to bring our families, friends and our community together in support of autism. Saturday’s attendance showed us that.

Our board would like to say a big thank you to all who came out to the AWA Family Fun Walk today! We are so grateful for the tremendous community support and that we could have such a wonderful day of togetherness and inclusivity. More photos to come.

Join us Saturday January 31st at our next AAC Library Storytime at the Broome County Public Library at 10:00 a.m.!!
This event will feature the book There was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro.
We will have story readings and related crafts and activities. All activities are designed to integrate augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies to support participation for diverse learners, readers, and communicators!
The event is free, but let us know you are coming 🙂 See you there!
